are you sure it wasnt because Chris DeGarmo just lost interest and quit.... i love empire and OM 1...

DeGarmo's a commerical jet pilot now, of all things. Tate's still a cocksucker, that's well-documented. Hear In The Now Frontier is one of the biggest piles of dog shit I've ever heard. My car wouldn't start for three days after I unknowingly tried to play that thing in my car. After that, it was game over. I haven't heard OM 2, but I've heard a very mixed bag about it. If I ever see it for like 3 bucks I'll pick it up.

HITNF was DeGarmo's baby...

Promisd Land is a GREAT CD. Tribe was fair. OMII was not bad, just suffered from budget and production. Live OMII has been very successful.

If you ever catch the behind the scenes cuts from those sessions, they really humanize a bunch of these guys during the recording process, especially Tate. Takes away a lot of the thinking that these guys just open their mouths and the polished perfection you hear on the albums comes out... haha!

Great songs on it, but it just didn't stick with me overall like the previous 3 albums did.

Cool choice.

For some reason I always felt that Alex Skolnick of Testament/TSO would fit well with the ryche. Might help them return to a bit harder sound.

Stone grew on me after a while, I thought he did a good job.
