Ok, well....I have the complete story now.

And I don't want to break confidences either, but it was not a public appearance, nor was it something that he expected to be mentioned to the world.

Best Regards,
Andrew.

well, although hard to tell at times, this a Journey board...and he is kind of the Elvis of our generation...so I guess the cries of wolf will be heard no matter how hard we shove our fingers in our ears and say "la la la la la, can't hear you..."

If he's working on a new record, I don't think he would mind some buzz getting started. I would tend to think he'd like that buzz to be at a loud roar. But SP is different, maybe not.

I have it on very good authority that he will be appearing on Idol the week after next (the week of the 16th). I can't wait to see the threads that pop up.

BJG - you weren't supposed to tell! 8)

Meh, I already claimed this rumour as mine weeks ago on one of Madsplash's crazy threads.

As for Perry singing live, my guess is that IF it happened (and that's a big if right there) it was with friends on Super Bowl Sunday. Maybe they had a don't Stop Believin' sing-a-long whilst showering in Steve's $100 dollar bills and laughing at Journey's sub par international outing!

Well, if Steve was out singing, I say he was testing the waters to see how it felt for him to be back on stage. I'm sure "if " Steve was singing he knows that it will get out there. But I'm not surprised that we have the usually on this thread, the one's that believe, the one's that don't believe, the one's trying to find out the truth, and the one's that deny Steve is doing anything except breathing and living his life and still messing around with music. Still it does make for some very interesting reading. Me, I'm in the believe camp. I do believe that somewhere out there Steve is singing. What he is going to do about it is anyone's guess. I hope he does come out with something.

Here's another one for you -

I have it on good authority that Steve Perry sh!t the bed this week. It was not meant for public knowledge, nor was it something that he expected to be mentioned to the world. Still, sh!t is happening right so this might be a sign that Perry is going to release something big in the near future, he's just building up to it!

Okay Madsplash, talking sh!t is your forte so any thoughts..?

Poor Perry though. The guy can't even sing a note in public or otherwise without causing an inter-planetary collision of sorts. Perry sings two bars and the next thing he is releasing an album or going out on tour. No wonder he is backward about coming forward, can you imagine the attention if he did actually announce something. I am starting to come around to his way of thinking.

i talked to you about this months ago remember??? i haven't heard the song since. }:C(( it does sound like sp... stopped me dead in my tracks... just stood there & listened hard. had to be sp. it was like angels singing i swear. }:C))

would be so cool if that was really... "the voice"!!

dean do you remember any of the lyrics?

Rockindeano wrote:Well, I don't know about all of you doubters and naysayers, but why do I keep hearing a new song with Perry's vocals on it at work? I know that voice. Now, is this song new? I don't know, but I have never heard it before.

My God, this is funny.

Is it really so hard to believe?

I'm not sure what else to say. The powers that "be" are all in an uproar.

All I can say is that any small little tidbit that we're thrown, was completely planned and executed to the fullest extent.

Guy's, we're dealing with a marketing genius. To think that because a few "inside" people haven't confirmed that something happened, means that it really didn't, is just flat out foolish.

Times change. People change and "inside" sources change.

We're all being brought along at exactly the pace that we're supposed to be brought along at. Feelers are out. Public interest has been gauged.

My God, I love the man, the myth, the legend.

Just hang on.

Utter utter bullshit of the HIGHEST order.

I've talked with 2 people today that are extremely close to Mr. Perry and the direct word is that this "appearance" was a private matter and the fact that it is now of public debate is regrettable and was not intended to be so in ANY fashion.
