The Producers were a great act that played the New Orleans, Atlanta, & Milwaukee circuit during the 1980's. They were high energy. Their high water mark as far as commercial radio/(M)tv was a song called "She Sheila". They made 4 albums and seemed to be rolling along...but then fell of the face of the earth!

Secondly was an act that opened for Eddie Money for a while. James Anderson and the Takers. They made an album but they too disappeared into obscurity. Don't know if anyone has heard their biggest single "Strangest Feeling"?

Joe Lynn Turner was big, but with bands like Deep Purple, Rainbow, Yngwie Malsteen. A great singer! unfortunately, the general public didn't take too kindly to rock songs, with mega cheesy lyrics. I rate the guy as one of the best male rock singers of all time, but I feel his song choices really let him down over the years, I believe even with the great bands such as Deep Purple, Rainbow, Malmsteen (Turner era), they have those big question marks hanging over them and very mixed reactions over years, mostly bad reactions from I can see, and as good as a lot of those albums are for us die hard fans, you were not going to see them up for grammy at any point in their careers. - So that's probably the issue is to why he didn't get the recognition he deserved, among his peers such as Gramm, Perry, and so on (those guys rarely! had a badly written song) if at all.

Yeah Vladan you are right..but i dunno maybe i like cheesy lyrics  i think his solo work is awesome (my fav is Usual Suspects), and his others projects are cool too, like ones with Brazen Abbot, Glenn Hugues, or Sunstorm!!! (this is a great band too..now their going for their second album)..now i read in some shows reviews that he in his concerts sings a lot of material from his ex bands...and very few songs from him...and for me is too sad because i love his own work..now i believe he is involved with another ex members from rainbow, trying to bring back this band but without R. Blackmore (with RB junior instead) ...and big noize..another band, that should come here to Chile past december, but was cancel at last minute  (this guy have too many music projects!!)
The peoplee should give more credit to this guy, since he is one of the few band member that get along with Blackmore..and that's seem to be a very difficult thing to do ( we could ask Mister Gillan about that)

Nice to see other people really respect the work of JLT

Saraya, female fronted melodic rock.

Their second record "When the blackbird sings" is awesome.
