OT: Coldplay Could Be Served With Legal Papers At Grammys

Uh oh......:shock: :shock:

(Los Angeles, CA) -- British rockers Coldplay will likely receive their fair share of warm handshakes and congratulations at this Sunday's GRAMMY Awards, but they might want to keep a close eye on some of those well wishers as they extend their greetings.

Howard King, an attorney for guitar great Joe Satriani, tells Fox News that Coldplay has not yet been served with legal papers alleging copyright infringement over a Satriani song.

However, he thinks that Sunday's Grammy Awards might be the perfect place to serve the Grammy nominated band.

King explained, quote, "We have warned their British lawyers that we have hired a fleet of process servers lined up to dog the band everywhere they go this weekend in hopes of serving them."

Satriani claims Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" single uses the exact same melody of his 2004 instrumental track "If I Could Fly." Upon hearing the claims, the band stated that while Satriani is a great musician, he did not write their hit song. The 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards air Sunday, February 8th at 8:00 pm Eastern on CBS TV. The ceremony takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
