Otherwise, Boz Skaggs "Look What You've Done To Me" is one of the most haunting I've ever heard.

I posted this link in the Melancholy thread, but I think it applies here, as well.

It's a long, long version of Superstar, originally by The Carpenters. This is Luther Vandross. Check it out.

I've always liked Natalie's voice. Was this one already posted?:

My Skin - Natalie Merchant

No that's a new one to the thread. Nice one from "Ophelia".

To me Natalie's a female version of Perry, a pure talent. From what I know she received no voice training before joining the Maniacs at 17.

This was posted before but for anyone just checking it out I'll list it here again.

Thanks! I heard some trivia thing on the radio recently, supposedly Peter Gabriel wrote "In Your Eyes" for Rosanna Arquette when he was dating her, lol. I thought some guy in Toto had written "Rosanna" for her also, LOL! Goodness how many songs does she have written about her?

My mother loved that song...I can hardly hear that now, almost traumatizing. Great song though.

Here's an awesome song from Phil Collins that's very dark. It's called "Long Long Way To Go". Shows how talented he is on the keyboards... He's a man of many talents. Hope you like it.

I always thought Gordon Lightfoot's Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald was a spooky and VERY well written tune. The lyrics fit the music so perfect

Had in mind to find this song. All I remembered is a Canadian guy had some good songs and one would be perfect here. Thanks for it. Now to find his other tunes.

Love Phil's sound. His "In the air tonight" and Tangerine Dream's "Love on a real train" together in this memorable scene from "Risky Business" always sounded haunting to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDlTGhe3 ... re=related
