Spare me the preaching. I played basketball, at the college level, and the vast majority of those guys can't even spell the name of their school. They are athletes sure, but race car drivers are athletes as well. You try driving 500 miles at 200 mph and experience the G's going into turns, make the millisecond decisions you need to make and be smart at the same time. Now I admit, a lot of the Nascar guys are flat out dumbfucks. The southern boys are all stupid. Notice how the championships are being won by California guys, Johnson, Gordon, and Tony Stewart (IN)?

Seriously, the talk about basketball players being the greatest athletes is long gone. Athletes in Baseball and hockey are far superior to those in basketball.

I dont think the late great Dale Earnhardt would agree with that southern boys statement. That man was a genius behind the wheel.

I gotta admit your right about that. I kind of miss that type of agressive driving though you know when Dale and Rusty used to fight or Dale and D.W. Those young guys out there today are mostly a bunch of Nancys.

I don't know why people insist on portrying all motor sports fans as morons and slack-jawed troglodytes. I consider myself to be a professional, successful well-educated person and I like to watch Nascar. I also like to go to local dirt tracks and watch Outlaw sprint car racing. It's fun. There are plenty of ignorant dolts who like to play or watch basketball, football, baseball, hocky etc. Guess what... America's full of 'em. Motorsports does not have a monopoly. If you don't enjoy the sport, that's fine, but you don't need to denegrate people who do. Personally I find watching golf to be mind numbingly boring, but I don't suggest that all people who watch it are a bunch of boring tightasses!
