Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Sorry about your dad. That song gets a lot of criticism here, but I like it. Not much of a ballad guy, but it's a good one.

MOON RIVER

I'm a fan of old classic movies and that was interspersed in Breakfast at Tiffany's throught the movie and played in many different ways, music only, Audrey Hepburn singing, chorus. Always set a very melancholy mood and very effective for the mood of the whole movie.

Always makes me sad and teary-eyed because while that song by Andy Williams was playing on a CD in the background, I witnessed a really tender and emotional moment by my father talking to my mom about their life and love b/f she passed away

He's alive and still sounds great at 73. He has really taken care of his voice. By the way, 81 year old Andy Williams just finished a sold out tour in Japan and the UK. The music these guys sing is timeless.

"Don't Speak" - No Doubt

"Bad Day" - Daniel Powter <-- that song hit me like a rabid flaming bat out of hell one particularly bad day a few years ago... I was driving home form work, no big deal. and it came on, and before I knew it I was in tears. And I am not one to cry at songs either. Ever since then, that song bums me out.

I got blindsided in a similar manner 3 days before Christmas. And I even told him, "Why, dude? Why this week?" They just don't give a damn, do they? But hey good news... you're good on the oil change and Sparky won't wet the carpet. So there's a bright spot.

Holy smokes, one of my personal favorites... She wrote that about Gram Parsons... sad.

"Not Dark Yet" from Bob Dylan: I just adore him; I think he is incomparable as a musician/songwriter; such beautiful poetry:
