An ex-girlfriend of Roberto Alomar filed an explosive lawsuit alleging the former baseball star insisted on unprotected sex for four years despite having AIDS.

The lawsuit, filed Jan. 30 and transferred to U.S. District Court on Wednesday, contains accusations that could not be corroborated but portray Alomar as someone who demanded sex without a condom despite showing obvious signs of HIV.

Ilya Dall is seeking at least $15 million in punitive damages from the 41-year-old former infielder. Alomar spent 17 years in the majors and was one of the game's great second basemen.

Calls seeking comment from lawyers for Alomar and Dall were not immediately returned. Alomar lawyer Charles Bach told the New York Daily News the allegations are "frivolous and baseless."

Dall said the two began dating in spring 2002 and had unprotected sex for the next four years. She said that on several occasions during that time, Alomar refused to get tested for HIV, despite severe fatigue, sores on his mouth and throat, a constant cough and an infection of the esophagus that is associated with AIDS.

She said Alomar finally relented and tested positive for HIV in February 2006.

Dall said she was angered by the disclosure and was tested herself; the result was negative. She said follow-up exams determined that Alomar had full-blown AIDS.

By then, she said Alomar had purple skin, was foaming at the mouth and was too sick to walk, forcing him to need a wheelchair to get around at an airport.

Dall said the ordeal caused her severe emotional and mental distress and fear she may one day test positive for HIV herself.

She called the conduct of Alomar "outrageous with wanton reckless disregard of the health, safety and well-being" of Dall.

The lawsuit does not say why Dall continued to have unprotected sex with Alomar. Dall said the couple lived together until last year.

Alomar was one of baseball's best players in the 1990s, making 12 straight All-Star appearances and winning two World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays.

A career .300 hitter with 10 Gold Gloves, Alomar broke in with the San Diego Padres in 1988 and also played for the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox. He was out of baseball by 2005.

Yeah I remember the good ole days when baseball was clean. A dad would throw his boys in the back of the buick and head off to the ballpark, and they'd sit there enjoying hot dogs and cracker jacks, watching those clean cut American heroes honroably battle on the diamond. The bonding, singing the national anthem, and god bless america during the 7th inning strecth gave them boys character. They came back stonger and better people, eager to head down to the local VFW and offer to help mow the lawns of the old vets who hung down there and help them roll the flags out before the Memorial day parade. It made em want to be nice to Susie Smith the next day at school instead of pulling at her pig tails. It made em want to eat their peas at suppertime, and it made em want to love Jesus, go to sunday school, and to pray for the mayor , govenor, and President o the USA.

I think the real problem with this entire era of baseball is to know who is clean and who isn't. Just because a positive test hasn't been found on a guy doesn't mean he wasn't shooting testosterone into his asscheek! In my opinion, ANY player who has admitted to using steroids should be automatically disqualified for HOF consideration and most of the baseball writers seem to agree at this point, but who knows what will happen with the next generations of baseball writers.

A-Roid's excuses to Gammons the other night were fucking embarrassing. He kept referring to "GNC" when he knows full well the shit he was taking was put into his body through a syringe and nothing that can be purchased at GNC. While he pretended to take accountability, he went out of his way to make it sound like he was taking an over the counter supplement that was subsequently banned by MLB. I also don't believe for a second that he only used for his 3 years in Texas. At this point, I actually feel bad for the guys who are clean, if there even are any!

In all seriousness, there were always STRONG rumors that Robbie wasn't just switch-hitting out on the diamond. I'm talking straight from guys who shared the clubhouse with him, like Omar. It does seem curious that this lady apparently doesn't have HIV. But, I'm not sure who is more susceptible to catch it - an uninfected man with an infected woman or vice versa. I do know oral carries a lot lower risk of transmission (very slim I think), but I'm not sure about your chances with straight-up unprotected hetero sex.
