I remember when LeAnn was just hitting it big around the age of 13 or so. The first time I ever saw her I figured she was around 20 years old. I couldn't believe it when I found out she was only 13.

I DESPISE country music. But the one song that I love is LeAnn's "I Need You."

There is nothing "nasally" about a Boston accent. We simply don't acknowledge that the letter "R" even exists. For what it's worth, I think the Boston accent is fucking HORRENDOUS! That said, the southern twang bullshit makes my skin crawl. Every time I was walking through a store in NC and the Einstein clerk came over the PA system, I couldn't comprehend one single word she was saying. Where I'm from "y'all" is actually two words!

And John... I'd become a mute before I'd ever sound like some Yankee twit. Ick ick! I'll admit to sounding like Boomhauer when I'm at home or on the phone with people from back south... but I'm damn proud of it. Johnny, am I the only southerner you can tolerate? :P

Of the ones I have met...the answer is an emphatic YES, YES, and YES! I've been back home since last May, and I'm still trying to reconcile the fact that where I lived for 13 long months is actually part of the United States. I mailed back a calendar to one of my neighbors in North Carolina just to remind them what year it actually is

A year ago I might've argued that with you. But after a year living in the "big city", I've been home 3 times and I swear as soon as I get back there it's like someone just presses a pause button everytime I leave and hits play when I get back. Nothing changes... the general feel of town is still pretty much 50's Americana. I appreciate it, guess cause it's my roots. But at the same time, after a few days I'm screaming inside.

...Still the best place on earth though. I told you your problem was living in Monroe. Dingus. :P

Actually the Boston accent takes the R from where it should be and puts it where it shouldn't. Just listen to Jerry Remy call a Red Sox game for an inning and you will go nuts!! "I sawr Dustin Pedroiar before the game when I was pauking my caaa". I like a nice southern accent more so than our New England accents to tell you the truth.

You should move to the south. You'd be able to listen to those hicks non-stop with what they think are "charming" accents. I'd personally rather visit the dentist and have my teeth drilled into oblivion!
