"RockStar" ~ The Movie

I think the writer of the movie did base it on "real life on the road". Last year I read the autobiography of Patti Boyd (she was married to George Harrison and Eric Clapton) and she talks about stuff like that...that the wives cramp the rockers style or something. Either in her book or another she talks about one famous rocker who saw another musician's wife knitting on the bus or jet and flipped out screaming something like, "this is Rock n Roll not a freakin' knitting circle" - so ALL the wives/girlfriends were kicked out.
You should read the books by the famous groupie, Pamela Des Barres...

what else is on that list..

Hi, Larry! It's complicated in a family of all guys. Hubby goes and rents "action" movies to watch with the boys ... and expects me to sit in. .

Annie, you need your own Netflix accout:

http://www.netflix.com

:)

I know ... for a long time, I have been tempted to sign up ... netflix or Blockbusters. Just having dared make the leap. I know ... if I get on a monthly subscription, I'm going to do nothing but sit at home watching movies all day, every day ... I will become a movie-holic, lol.

Its not all that bad. Get a 1 at a time plan for 9 bucks. You'll be fine. I tried BB, NF much better.

StoneCold ... 1 for $9? I can go rent a movie for a day for $3.99. Doesn't Netflix have a membership plan like $5.99/mo, where you can order 3 movies at a time. You watch it ... send it back ... order 3 more movies. Knowing me and my love for movies, I'll keep recyling this over and over, to get my money's worth. lol. It's like an addict that can't/won't quit. My day will be pre-occupied with watching movies .

No, $5.99 gets you one movie at a time, no more than 3 per month I think.

1 at a time plan for 9 bucks / unlimited rentals

works great for me, usually see 8 - 10 per month,

includes unlimited movies on the laptop, great for in-between dvds or bored downtime

Gotta tell ya - if you saw this movie, then you know - but maybe Ms. S. was on to something - trying to keep Steve from that whole scene.....having a separate vehicle, etc.....

If this movie is any kind of "true life diary", if you will, then WOW....

I was being positive about her.

Sorry if you didn't get that. Have a great day. 8)

I agree with you...I'm sorry I was so brash...I was dealing with some deep seated feelings coated with a extra glass of Merlot...
Maybe I should try a Chianti....

Relationships...period...are not always easy.

Hmmm. Even when Axl was at his youngest and prettiest, I still have a hard time seeing that one - but that's just me...

Instead of watching a B movie, why not tug on the old man's root about 350 times? Seriously, work on his hose. You may get lucky and have him return the favour. Then again, he probably won't.

Rockstar has always been one of my favorite movies. I saw it when it opened in theaters. And bought a copy when it was released on DVD. I believe its based (somewhat) on Judas Priest. When Tim (Ripper) Owens took over the vocals from Rob Halford. The life I always wanted to live. Sex, Drugs & Rock N Roll!!
