Um, why does every Valentines Day card from a guy read like some kind of half-apology?
Most of them start out with
"I know we never..."
"Sometimes I don't..."
I think it's obvious those are written by women. Honestly, every year I go looking for a VDCard, I have to wade through the 100s of Apologetic Cards to reach ONE halfway decent card that's not something about how I don't make the grade.
It's either this or it's those cards that have like, 6 pages of the hokiest bs...
I think I will start making my own with color crayons....
By the way, Happy Valentines Day to those that celebrate it.
Happyalmost Heart day to you as well Sir!
I'd be happy to get an I'm sorry card at any ole time.
You'd think Valentines day would make it easier for some Fellas.
Sadly that will never happen with my Hubby Bub.
We've had this discussion before.
He always claims that if he starts with apologise and affection I'll want it all the time.
I say what the problem is with that?
I've spent the last 18 years stroking your sternly side.....nag, nag, blah, blah, blah.
You get the idea.![]()
I'm a heart hugger, I love Valentines Day.
Hope you have a happy one MR folk.
But the cards for guys out there are almost all sorry cards. It's lame for those of us that don't have to apologize because we're not d*ckheads.
Speaking of that- Ladies, if you watch Romantic Comedies and the Vag... er, the View and Opie- they'd have you think all guys are douchebags. NOT true. Don't believe the hype!
No hype. Dan/comedyisnotpretty is a great guy. You just have to sift through the over picked piles and get a good one. Halmark sucks, either it says stupid things like that, or it says too little, too generic.
Tell me, how do you thank a husband who once saved your life from drowning, who loves you just as you are, who is your best friend, and knows you better than anyone, and who treats you like the most precious gift he has ever been given? Find me that card.![]()
I don't have a husband, so I don't know. But, I have... ideas....
Sometimes you tell people thank you by actions not words. And I am refering to how you treat them. I would do nothing to hurt him. I have the rest of my life to thank him. I know how blessed I am.
