Right... well. I've driven 12 hours in the past day and a half and through some very major snow conditions this evening, so I'm a little tired to give any extended detailed review. But as always, Jeremey and the new line up didn't disappoint. It was a fabulous show at a great venue and just as good as any Journey show I've seen. Some of you got concert calls (I think... ). The drummer melted my face, and the new guitarist rocked bigger than all hell. I can honestly say this was the best "Singles' Awareness Day" ever... and between "debauchery and shenanigans" as was put earlier, and also trying not to die in the shady Clevelandness, and not getting to sleep until 6:00 this morning, probably one of the better weekends in recent memory.

Everyone should go see Frontiers live and support them. Great guys, great performers. End of story.

J, thanks for a great time! It was worth every effort made to show... 100% all natural blast. You rock! :)

Absolutely on both counts. I couldn't believe the drum solo, and only after it was over did I realize I'd stood there for 5 minutes without moving and probably without blinking. Amazing stuff!

The 25 minute version of Chain Reaction was interesting...  (kidding Jer... it was good, as was the little speech you gave after it... lol!)

I love what Frontiers does with Any Way You Want It... totally killed! Definitely going to see them again!

Aw, come on. I'm in downtown Cleveland just about once a week at least, it's very safe. I turn 37 years old next month. I've always lived in the Cleveland area and been downtown hundreds and hundreds of times. And no one, NO ONE has ever hassled me in anyway. I like Chicago a lot. It's my favorite city outside of Ohio. But I was way more nervous when I was in downtown Chicago at night than I've ever been in Cleveland. Every few minutes I had someone walking up to me in downtown Chicago asking me if I wanted to buy drugs or junk jewelry or screw a hooker.

Thanks, Marie... (I'm glad we got home OK, too.) I'd also like to add that I was thoroughly impressed with the unique interpretations and style that the guys implement in performing the songs. There's a lot of flavor to it, so while they are by nature a tribute band, they're their own band in the same. If that makes any sense at all. :)

I will say though, trying to hail a cab around 2am was difficult but a very nice homeless gentleman hailed one for us. He asked if I could spare anything, but I was very out of cash by that point so I gave him some smokes for his trouble.

In fairness, downtown Cleveland is getting a bit worse. I don't know if it's the economy or what, but it's definitely a little shadier. Panhandlers are MUCH worse/more aggressive since the summertime, for sure. But yea, downtown Cleveland isn't that bad for a city. Obviously, as with all cities, it's not a great place to be by yourself in the late hours and there's certainly some places you should NEVER go. But not that bad, especially considering how hard the times are here.

Sorry I missed you guys, we shoulda set somethin up before hand. I was campin by the bar on the far right (walking into the venue from the stairs and facing the stage) until it was time for Frontiers to actually come on. Kinda figured I might see you guys (and hopefully recognize you). It was packed in there though. Sweat my ass off!

Makes perfect sense. I really hope I get to see them this year, so I check their schedule regularly for Texas dates. Me and Steveforever have plans to see them together. Hopefully will meet up with LLL, Deb and Linda also. Frontiers '09!

I was standing right by there during the middle of the show! The rest of the night I was down in the front at the stage.
I don't know how I didn't see you, that's the bar I got my drinks from! I was scanning the crowd for familiar faces too, but from the sound of it, you were too busy yakking yours off.

Yes, crowded for sure... sold out show.

Well, I was down in the middle of the main floor when the show actually started and I stayed there the whole time besides goin to get a drink once or twice. I was on the keyboardist's side back near the railings that separated the main floor from the area above where the bars are. If you were in front, you prolly saw some of my drunken entourage, they made their way up there a couple times . And fortunately, I felt fine the whole fuckin show! Just hit me when I laid down to watch some TV and unwind. Shitty food from one of my favorite restaurants downtown, no less :(

I was also looking for familiar faces. Rhi, I saw you near the bar and was heading over that way when I bumped into an old girlfriend who I didnt want to see! By the time I was done talking to her you were gone. I didn't see anyone else though, at least that I recognized, since I haven't actually met any of you in person. :(

Fat guy, farting... disgusting. Silent but deadlies every 3 minutes. Even the guitarist was getting fogged. I turned to the people behind me and let them know it wasn't coming from me. They too were on the verge of el vomitar.

EWH, GROSS!

Reminds me of a fat guy I saw in beige pants once. They were riding up his arse reaching places he obviously had never got around to cleaning and he literally had a sh!t stripe on the back of them due to the friction caused by him simply walking around. The mark of shame!
