Oddly enough, there was talk around the Revelation release of changing things up for the website. I know they wanted to work the intro and change the song. I agree that's important. At that time there was the excuse that Neal and Jon were very involved with the website and unable to focus on it at that time due to the tour. So I guess now that the guys have been off the road, they have been able to get involved with the web design.

Still don't understand why you have to go offline in order to give it a new look, unless they are changing software and servers again. But then, wouldn't it make sense to set up the new site while still maintaining the previous version? They should be able to switch over like it's flipping a switch, no?

You would still think they could keep one up while waiting for the other to be ready.

As for talk of the MySpace pages and the Kevin Chalfant reference. That page was created by Wavid, who also did Ross Valory's website. Very talented individual!! He was in the running to do Journey website at one point. Guess it didn't work out. I know he has moved on to (hopefully) bigger things with Ross and Mouthman!

All I know is that there are people from the Journey forum visting here out of boredom now that their site is closed.

What do you do when you are being watched- get crazy :!: :D :D

Come on lets gets some crazy ass rumours going...like
Fleishmann and Rollie coming back to front the band. Or maybe Charlie Daniels fronting Journey brining a new country focus , Neil now on fiddle . The possibilities are endless.

I hear they are trying to block SP's new album because he's thinking of doing The Cat Duet by Rossini with Ann Wilson - and Jon Cain says the lyrics have been plagiarised from one of his old songs.

I also hear that Neal is looking on YouTube for a singer who can perform alternate nights with Arnel in order to allow vocal rest.

Or lack of heart, in general.....

Or lack of a singer. Maybe Neal decided that Arnel was becoming too big of a celebrity in his home country and other places, and Journey was being kicked to the sidelines in Arnel's life. Arnel has been traveling around singing Journey stuff solo by himself, and my guess is that Neal has had enough of it.

Actually, you must have misunderstood. It's Jon Anderson from Yes who has taken over as Journey's new lead singer. He got pissed off when Steve Howe and Chris Squire dumped him and called Neal. One thing led to another, and they worked out the details.

Well, if they're only doing 45 to 50 shows total this year, Arnel should be able to weather it, providing each performance isn't two to three hours long.

Nothing crazy like the old days.

Joe Benson: The Infinity tour went on for 9 months or whatever, and then it was time to record Evolution. Had you been writing the songs on the road? Or was it like, the tour is done let's take off two days and I'll me you down at the (studio).

Steve Perry: No, the Infinity tour went on for 185 shows back-to-back. I mean I remember those days. It wasn't like one on one off, two on, one off. We're talking five on, one off , four on one off. I remember getting home. I didn't even have an apartment. I knew I was going off, ya know, on the Kittyhawk, to sea, that's what it felt like to me, I was on board ship. I remember getting back to my mom's house for Christmas because we did break for a week for Christmas. Right after that we just went and started writing the next one.

Well he has no choice. He kept calling me and begging me to do it but I told him no.
Bloody nuisance he was.

Jesus Christ.

Maybe Perry really was superhuman.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'
