Every time
Some people hear “After The Fall”
They feel they must try to sing that song.
They sound like Cats that are dying,
That’s when it’s time to lend a hand
To get the Mic
Away from them alllllll….

We can’t go on
Pretending day by day
That their voices will soon Miraculously change
But we are all a part of
Drew’s great big MR Family
And the truth, you know Silence is what we neeeeeeeed….

We are the Worst
We are the Tone-Deaf
We are the ones who make the others say,
“PLEASE DON’T START SINGING!”
It’s a choice we’re making;
We think we sound GREAT live…
We don’t care what you have to say,
So get up and leave.

That's great, Trag. Now, we just need to divide it up and decide who get's to sing what...and remember folks,..."Check Your Ego at the Door".

Seriously, I'm so bad I'm surprised Perry and others haven't slapped a "knock it off!" order on me for slaughtering their work during my car concerts.

Don't get me started.....I got lyrics formin' in my head....

Wow - talk about coincidence. We have a staff entertainment night coming up in March, this year our theme is 80's. I came up with the We Are the World idea last week and we're just the process of thinking up lyrics right now. I'm playing the part of SP (not because I can sing - NOT - but because I just happen to have a tailcoat and a long wig  . Great idea for the title though - we definitely are the worst!

Don't get me started on resurrecting old threads....I've brought back the NOW PLAYING thread numerous times from a sure slow death....funny thing though. Never got a nasty PM telling me to stop. Makes me wonder if I INADVERTENTLY raised a thread someone had thought was long buried. Not my fault if an old thread makes someone look like a fool....but I digress....Never got a nasty PM about the NOW PLAYING thread. :?

If he should break your heart (messed up the lyrics and was scratchy but added a high early perry note ala Wheel in the sky solo section at the very end because I felt like it)

One Queensryche tune from Operation Mindcrime, I dont believe in love (think I nailed that one).

Hey how long have you been singing for, just interested to know because I like to sing a bit myself.

That's good mate, great tone, it's a good voice you have. Yeah I got a chest infection as well last year, for months, it was a pain. Currently I'm taking singing lessons, learning new stuff all the time here. But yeah man, throw some more stuff up. Eventually I will upload something here myself, and I will dedicate it to Rockindeano 8)

I think this thread should be renamed "The Official MR Deano is a Wuss Thread" until he gets off his butt and pays up on his debt.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Thanks for the offer Nora! - I did some up at work this afternoon with more specific references to our town and company name (but I definitely used your song title and the dying cats reference, so thanks  ) I'd post my lyrics but I left 'em at work - maybe tomorrow.

Melodic Rock Karaoke Challenge 2009

Postby The Sushi Hunter » Thu Feb 19, 2009 11:00 am

So what's the deal with this idea? Is anyone going to go through with it? I will....talked with the wife last night and she'll do the video taping for me. I don't think it will be any fun doing a song I'm good at, so I was thinking of doing a song I'm not good at/doesn't fit my voice, for the shear laugh factor. I was thinking of Dream On by Aerosmith cause that voice is like the furthest from what my capabilities are.

Alright. Personally, I really don't sing Journey songs. Anyway, this is a one take, my very time trying "Open Arms". You know, singing Journey is really really really tough, I'm finding, and the fact that I'm still learning to sing as well so, but I guess that's why I have a singing teacher as well! :)

Hahaha yay, thanks guys ;)

Well I'd be happy to do more some more, but it wouldn't seem right without "other people giving it a go" :D it can be pretty nerve wrecking since there are some very talented singers who actually read these forums, so.... I mean if I didn't feel comfortable then I wouldn't do it, so it's understandable

Vlad, your Aussie accent is a blast!!!!
Your voice needs to be tuned
but bravo for giving it a try/....

Where is Deano?
come on....remember me?
We sang in Paladino's parking lot
You're not bad...you can hold a tune
get off your high horse & set down a few tracks!

I gave Open Arms a shot a few years ago acapella (some pitch problems & mistakes but it was fun)
& a kind MR member put my voice to music & he did a pretty good job making me sound OK....Thanks
