You have been warned.

I can feel the slime dripping from that link.
I am obviously not a Facebook fan.

Not that it will probably change anything, they have put this up on Facebook now:
Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised.

I saw that this morning. The more I think about it, the less I need Facebook. I joined in college for use while in college, as it was originally intended. I'm not so cool with what it's developed into these days and don't really see the need to keep with it. Same goes for MySpace. I'm kind of over the whole "social networking" site phase.

I wanna get rid of it but it really is convenient for certain things, particularly my friends that are overseas. They don't use instant messenger, they check their e-mail pretty infrequently, and phone is usually out of the question (hell even when it's in play, we'll figure out a time over the net). So, it's pretty easy to hop on there and send them something they'll look at daily.

I kind of ignored a text message one day, and later on I got hit with "So, you couldn't respond to my text that I sent at 12:23, but I saw you change your facebook status at 1:12!" Great, so now I have to worry about people checking up on everything I'm doing like I'm 5? How about this... don't stalk me... there's an idea.

They can't see what you're doing if you don't post it. It's completely up to you. Same goes for sites like Twitter. If you don't want people to know what you're doing THEN DON'T POST IT FOR EVERYONE TO SEE!!!
Regardless, Facebook is a great tool for keeping in touch with people, especially those that don't live nearby. I've found several classmates from high school that I never would've gotten back in touch with otherwise.
I put up a few photos every once in a while but I don't put anything there that I don't want people to have access to. It's that simple. People can cry all they want about Facebook's TOS but it still comes down to what they PERSONALLY DECIDE to put on the internet. If you don't like their TOS, then don't use the site.

I have one of those stalkers too (as you well know). I'm going to look in those settings... I just never thought to bother before, I guess... But I don't feel like being called a bad friend for ignoring one stupid text after facebook rats me out for robbing banks and smuggling drugs in my Mob game. Can't I just play my game for two minutes without people going "I see you! Are you ignoring me?!"

Well, you saw what mine posted after my "status" update last week? I don't have the time for it, and some people seem to be using the Facebooks & MySpaces as more of a stalkerazzi utility and it's disgusting.
