Fun fodder for discussion I guess. That said, it's a bit akin to saying, "I heard from someone, who heard from someone, who heard from someone, who heard from someone that Gunbot sleeps in rubber underwear and once got into a mud wrestling match with the pope."
We really have such limited insight into their world because they don't give it to us.
Well, That's probably another reason that we have so many OT discussions here. There is only so much to discuss about the band before we're grasping at straws. I guess if we were a real Fan board, we could just say "We love you , you're great" every two posts like a few dedicated fans sites seem to do. But what would be the fun in that?
It's about time you brought your ass back here. '78 just got back in here too, what's up with you two? Did he take you on a trip to TJ?

Yeah. Common problem with a lot of older acts like Journey. At least there have been some new topics (personnel changes, new album) to stir the pot a bit.I guess if we were a real Fan board, we could just say "We love you , you're great" every two posts like a few dedicated fans sites seem to do. Tall Stories-Skyscraper, the long shelved follow-up to the 1991 album that would intersect the lives of singer Steve Augeri and Journey, can best be described as neo soul funk folk rock. While not nearly in the same class as the eponymous debut (then again, few albums are), Skyscraper manages to strike a nice balance between that hook-laden AOR gem and the retro blues rock of Augeri’s 1995 Tyketto effort, Shine. A few tracks fall prey to the sing-song lyrical monotony that marred Augeri’s solo contributions to Journey’s 2005 album Generations; yet even the worst offenders (namely, the interminably slow Superman) hold the listener at rapt attention. At turns experimental and commercial, retro and modern, Skyscraper demands admiration for, if nothing else, the band’s genre-crisscrossing, kitchen sink approach. A word to the uninitiated – those unfamiliar with Augeri’s non-Journey work are in for a rude (albeit not altogether unrewarding) sonic awakening. Alternately employing feral banshee wails and Motown guttural noises, Augeri attacks each vocal with reckless closing night abandon. There has always been a certain warm imperfect touch to Augeri’s soaring tenor that set him apart from the extrahuman vocal gymnasts of his day. All too often Journey’s prescribed catalogue, and the heavy vocal handprint of Steve Perry, didn’t allow such qualities to be appreciated in their own light. Tall Stories-Skyscraper marks a new lease on Augeri’s eclectic musical identity and, with any luck, will see that simplistic disservicing ‘Perry with a Perm’ analogies remain a thing of the past.

He's alive and around but can't post as much at work and doesn't have time at night. He's always reading though.
