They've used flashbacks and some time travel effectively. I just got the tired of the time shifting every other minute.

It got to a point where the characters are sitting around waiting for the next flash.

The frequent time travel flashbacks were necessary. If you noticed, Charlotte's mind regressed (became “younger”) to almost infancy. With that, Charlotte’s memory of an earlier time was revealed. This is a series based upon having to “think”. Most viewers want to be entertained and not to draw up conclusions. There are numerous forums discussing Lost.

You're right, a little mystery is interesting but when I need to start taking notes to keep a tv show straight I'm done. :)

That's why I'll do a marathon later, it'll be fresh from one to the next.

Lost is great. Heroes blows. Just like Chuck. Terrible shows...
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

With those four statements, you've been inducted into the Bastard Hall of Fame. Congratulations.

Heroes is going downhill, though... and Chuck's reptition is getting annoying... but they're not at suck-level just yet.

Chuck is fluff but let's review my pro/cons

Pros:
2 regular hotties - Sarah and Chuck's sister (just Sarah is enough reason to watch it)
Chuck's sidekick Morgan has good comedy lines.
The Buy More nerds are weird characters.
Sometimes have good guest stars.
They refer to a character as Captain Awesome. :)

Oh, almost forgot:
There aren't continuous time shifting flashes of light every 2 minutes.

Cons:

The "spy action stuff" is usually lame but its the premise so whatever.

So they're time shifting now on that show? Good grief. Now I really do think they would have been better off ending it with them all waking up at the ranch and Patrick Duffy stepping out of the shower.

I'm rather enjoying the time shifting. I'd imagine the 'whispering' that was heard all this time was actually the regulars, but functioning on another time dimension. In any case, having a show that leaves me going WTF was That is fun. I like XFiles too. Same thing, ended most episodes with a WTF was That. Sit coms bore me to tears, give me sci-fi any day.

I think they ran out of ideas and got the stories so convoluted, they had no choice but to use the time jumping. When the show first started I think they never imagined that they would get so far off track. Like the X-Files, everything was fresh but someone got lazy in the creative thinking department and they kept spending more and more time on the alien themes until I got sick of it and even David Duchovny got sick of it.

Yvonne Strahovski, who plays Sarah, is unbefuckinglievably gorgeous. But I think the acting of the show is all around great. It's the Office meets Alias.

Untrue. If anything it looks obvious now that time travel was always going to be a part of the show. It was always going to be a sci-fi show. The thing that hurt lost was in the middle of its run when the network (i dont know what one you yanks have it on) wanted the producers to drag the show out for aslong as possible. So the middle had a lot of crap that probably wasnt needed. Whereas now they have finish in sight and can finally bring the show to its conclusion and give us the answers.

Alright, I give up. Who am I to go against the masses? I just can't fathom that they were going for the Dr. Who angle from the very beginning. I agree the prolonged story line is a mess. From what I read, the writers wanted to end it two years ago and a lot of these episodes since that time are just filler to get to the finish line so they can kill the show.

Depends what you're looking for. I look at Chuck as light hearted comedy, sometimes camp since they send up 80s and spy movies.

Never saw Journeyman since it seemed a ripoff of QL without the "oh boys". :) If I can find it online I'll check it out.

Heroes was interesting at first but right from the first ep of S3 I was turned off. Convuluted.

yeah, it did kind of steal from QL, but it was a good show on it's own too.

Found and watched the pilot ep of JM, not bad. When they announced this I was curious why they didn't just revive QL.

Did you think the show was just going to be about people trying to live on a deserted island?

I think it was pretty obvious sci-fi was going on in the pilot. The smoke monster was always there.

I'd rather watch shows like Andy Griffith on DVD. So whenever someone comes to my house they can have free reign with the remote.

I hear you. I'm NatGeo, History, Discovery, BBC America and PBS 95% of the time and The Food Network the other 5%.
