Just throw on any Colin James.

I also enjoy Gary Moore.

You can never go wrong with SRV.

See The Light by the Jeff Healey Band is solid.

Big fan of the earlier Jonny Lang.

Don't forget Kenny Wayne Sheperd.

How 'bout this lady: check out Shannon Curfman's debut "Loud Guitars and Big Suspicions" (recorded when she was just THIRTEEN!!)

You'll never go wrong with BB King.

John Lee Hooker.

Buddy Guy!

Reckless Red (yeah, the band in my sig!! http://www.recklessred.com )

Just to name a few!! lol

Ya know, I don't understand why Colin didn't BLOW UP here in the States. He had one successful single with "Just Came Back" and was obviously the heir apparant to follow SRV. Maybe it was SRV's death, maybe it was his ever-changing style (we Americans don't seem to handle change well...). Whatever it is, I am glad for all his stardom in Canada, but DAMMIT I want to see this guy live!!!

I remember that - hunted all over for one also but I don't think it exists. Maybe I'll have to make one! And yes - you do need to see him live - I have many times and never tire of his talent. I've posted a couple live vids on YT from the last time I saw him, just can't link them here from work right now.

Wow great thread, I love the blues, so it's really hard to pick just one or two favorites but here goes:

I've got to go with Manish Boy-Muddy Waters
Here is a great version of Muddy with the Band

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwd1LsJyhis

Whipping Post- Allman Brothers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv3RWqFlvJs

Of course anything by SRV is great too :!:

I love the blues too. Hey...lets keep this thing going..it doesn't have to be limited to just the top picks...feel free to post whatever blues songs you dig. I'm hoping maybe someone will post someone or a song I haven't heard before..like J28 mentioning Colin James. I had heard a couple of his but was not very familiar with him so I enjoyed listening to more of his stuff on youtube today and plan on picking up some of his music now. (thanks J28)
Anyway..thanks for the contribution to the thread..great stuff! :)
