considering they now have a singer that doesn't sound like Bickler AND doesn't sound like Jamison, and they rarely play a full-length show, it's hard to get too excited. Rather sad actually, since they do have a very strong catalogue. Maybe one day...

Bullshit... Bands can tour as much as they want as far as I'm concerned. YOU are the one that decides whether or not you'll choose to go see them. At best, there's about 5 concerts a year I actually ever even consider going to, so having more to choose from is a good thing. If people are still booking them, going to see them and paying money for merchandise, than by all means, keep touring. 8) It also keeps ticket prices down because not everyone out there is fighting to see a band that only comes through every 5-8 years. These bands KNOW people will fight, so they can jack up their prices to whatever they wish and still manage to sell them out.

Who would have guessed? Surely that pic of Kevin Cronin in your avatar would have never given it away.

But seriously - you wouldn't get tired of seeing REO a dozen times in a 10-year span?

 I thought that was Peterik, that guy from Survivor

It might be... so why does he have a Kevin Cronin costume on?

Is this a done deal then? Are they for sure reunited and going to tour? Hell to the ya if they are! Yet one more "must see" reunion for me. And at least they'll probably play out west! Great to hear, but not sure I'd travel too far to see a show, on the other hand would travel to see these great talents and killer vocals/harmonies again. Don't want to miss out the second time around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1MahZfFFFY

Now, if I could just get JSS, Mr Big and Triumph all on one bill......oh heck, throw April Wine in there too.

I'm pretty sure it's a done deal. My understanding was that it was the dying wish of Rik Emmett's younger brother for Triumph to reunite and they did so in 2008 to play the Swedish Rock Festival. They announced as late as November of 2008 at a concert that they would be doing a world tour in 2009, and given that they are in a mindset of life is short and put the past behind you, I doubt anything has changed that. They were also inducted into Canada's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, so now is the perfect time to tour. Great news and as a Canadian band, they should be playing enough dates up here that we'll have the opportunity to see them!

Jimi Jamison and Jim Peterik have been working together. I think there is a Scrap Metal vid on You Tube. As far as Frankie Sullivan,he may have legally won the right to use the name Survivor but the band was NEVER about him and he has run it into the ground.
