I've been listening to his latest release and I like it. It's mellow jazz but his voice sounds the same as it did when he started with The Steve Miller Band. If you dig jazz in the vein of SusieP and her style of music, Check out Boz's album "Speak Low".

I'm drinking and listening to him right now. This is what real musicianship is all about.

Looks like he doesn't have any dates to play anywhere in the middle of the country yet. I hope he does make it out my way, I'd love to see him. I have always been a fan of Boz. I would put Silk Degrees up against any album, past or present. When he was younger, I never thought his voice matched his physical appearance. I could never get over seeing that stiff on stage singing "Low Down" - but I loved it. Now, everything seems in sync.

I must say, I get a little sentimental every time I hear "Look What You've Done to Me". Reminds me of my 10th grade romance...

That's the European group Double that sings that song. I don't know if Boz did a cover of it but a lot of people thought he sang it.

Scaggs has a song that reminds me of it just a teeny little bit called Heart of mine.

Same thought I share, as with Steve Miller......the face that fronts the voice should be another.
Look What You've Done To Me leaves me in wishy washy-ness way.

Imagine Steve Miller, Boz Scaggs and Ross Valory all in the Steve Miller band. Not exactly sex symbol material there
(though, I don't know if Ross and Boz were in the band at the same time).

I'll have to check this out. Boz is the man. I was just listening to Randy Bachman's "Jazzthing" today, so I'm in this kind of mood.

Nice!
Thanks Gunbot.
I always loved Lido Shuffle but I have never given a thought to what he is doing these days.

I LIKE! I 'd love to think he has taken inspiration from me..........but I bet he hasn't given a thought about me since he did Lido Shuffle either.

He sounds very sad though.

I do prefer happy music.
maybe I should call around and get him to read some posts by WIX, stevew2 and crazy bus pass lady!

Go to wolfgangsvault.com and play some of the old shows.
While that's playing, go look up his musical lineage, et al.
Boz Scaggs is one of the truly great musicians/entertainers.
His purity & quality is hard to match.
