That's an excellent track you never hear by them. ConversationPC posted it once though I'm not sure if it was here or in another thread.

You Were There - Southern Songs

Easter - Marillion

Season's End - Marillion

Good adds. Southern Songs is really cool. Reminds me of Dennis DeYoung/Styx. Really good voice.

STLC is one of the most haunting songs I've heard. Both these tracks are on Pat's great album "Wide Awake In Dreamland."

I refuse to watch the video to this. I read the description and don't want the visual with the song.

Wow! 84 years old and she can do that? Shoot, most people in their 20's can't do what she's doing! That was amazing and inspirational. She look's fantastic for her age too. Kudo's to that woman. :)

Oh, no I watched the video! It was bizarre - is that really Coldplay's official video? (also, disturbing that an 85 yr. old is more flexible than I am!)

Yep, they're the band behind them. I always open it in a new tab and quickly click out. Somehow I saw a description of the vid and knew it would forever ruin this tune for me so have never seen it.

Probably my favorite CP tune. That or Speed of Sound.

Love "Speed of Sound" - I like Coldplay, they have good songs...I don't understand why everyone here hates them (along with REM). I love this song of theirs until it gets toward the end when it starts with the lyrics, "cuz I feel low", and the sound gets weird, then I hate it. I have to click to the next track....why did they have to ruin it? Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P7Oyku1tIw
(sorry, got off topic)

Since Gunbot brought my attention to this song I have downloaded it and find it to be a very haunting melody.........
I think it's bloody lovely and her voice is SO rich and pure and magical..........
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo5n0HwaRmQ

and I rather like this too - although her voice is a little shrill compared to the first clip - but still it haunts..........

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idd_92ajjwY

To me haunting means ethereal, spiritual and something which makes the goosebumps appear.
And don't laugh but I think this is a haunting song beautifully sung - close your eyes, forget any preconceived ideas about the singer and just listen and float away on that vocal..........

oh and I almost forgot - cant find a YouTube link for this but

you can hear a short clip on Amazon MP3 downloads of Cyndi Zhao singing the Beatles "Here there and everywhere" - its soft and lovely.
Check it out.

Lovely haunting song no matter who sings it, but it sounds better sung by a woman with a breathy vocal I think.
I just wanted a nice version of the song so I trawled all the versions on Amazon MP3 downloads and I liked her singing it the best.
xxx :)
