How about these 80's bands, not blues bands but known to get their blues on:

Tesla~"We're No Good Together"
Geat White~"Save Your Love", "Rock Me"
Black Crowes~"Seeing Things"
Tora, Tora~"Phantom Rider", "Walkin' Shoes"
White Lion~"Blue Monday"

I will think of more!

(I would include YouTube links but, alas, I am at work and YouTube is blocked!)

Ive been a Gary Moore fan for many years. As much as i love Rock/Metal, I love his blues better than his rock. Here is a favorite of mine. Gary Moore & B B King:

he's a good one...excellent guitarist but a little pitchy on vox but overall amazing and definitely one of the best out there who can sling a guitar. joe bonamassa is a child prodigy and turning out to be an excellent musician...but not a legend yet, maybe soon. he's got an upcoming show at the royal albert hall and already well known in european blues/rock circles. saw him played at "the last day saloon" in san francisco 6-7 years ago and even meet him and the band (eric czar-bass, kenny kramme-drums), cool guys, chatted a little bit and got a signed cd...then after a year i went to see them again at the "mountain winery" in saratoga opening for jonny lang. he reminds me of robben ford, fantastic guitarist but too thin on vocals for blues.

I'd love to add Hugo's "Blues for you" but I can't find it anywhere! It's one of my favorite songs, and DEFINITELY my favorite Hugo song. Hopefully someone here has a link.

Whatever it is, I am glad for all his stardom in Canada, but DAMMIT I want to see this guy live!!!

Me too, have never seen him live. Great player! Favorite of his, has to be Voodoo Thing, gets lots of IPOD time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VKy6HANjxc
