The demo is great. If this game is half as good as 4 was on GameCube, which I think it will be even better, we're in for a great treat.
The very 1st one on PSX is still my favorite, cause if was so original.

My roommates got an advance copy from their job. I prefer the storyline of RE4... so far there isn't really a good storyline in RE5 (we're in chapter 2 or 3). The graphics are great.

Best part is that you can play co-op! And there's an Amateur mode for horrible gamers like me. Also, getting in your inventory doesn't pause the gameplay, so watch out... and there's no awesome merchant character.

I miss Leon, too.

Looking forward to reading more reviews. Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube was, imo, one of the best looking and playing games of any console in the last generation.

I keep waiting for Capcom to try and push the Wii in a similar sense but no luck so far. Sega seems to have that already in place with the Conduit.

I still play 8 bit Nintendo. Less buttons to press.
These controllers now all have 1400 buttons and arrows, and the games piss me off. Too complex.
If I want to work that hard I might as well go look for actual zombies and criminals.

I'll take Super Mario, Excitebike, Rad Racer and Burgertime any day.

Well... it doesn't always work that well.
I have to blow into the cartridges a lot to get them to load. (remember that trick? )
But hey, I've had the damn thing 20 years so I'm shocked it works at all.

It's funny to see so many gamers in here. I own a 360, a Wii, and at one point had a PS3. I sold the PS3 because the games all sucked. We haven't hardly touched the Wii since we bought it, and I only play the 3 or 4 biggest games of the year. This year, I've played Gears of War 2, Call of Duty World at War, Fable 2 and Mortal Kombat VS DC Comics. That's pretty much all I've played in a year. I beat all of them except MK VS DC...that game blows!

I've found that I really don't have time for games anymore. I have too many other hobbies like fishing, mountain biking, landscaping (I know...it sounds crazy, but I LOVE working on my yard!). I'm always working on 2 or 3 projects when it comes to my yard. Last year I built a retaining wall that's about 200 feet long! I also laid 13 pallets of sod, planted trees and shrubs, etc... It never ends. This past weekend, I bought 2 red maple trees that are about 20 feet tall and a magnolia tree and just had them delivered yesterday. They look awesome! :D

Oh yeah, and when I get a break from that...I spend time with the family, work on music, and even go to work every once in a while!

Solved RE:5 this past weekend. Not a bad game. A bit short. Some of the acheivements were a bit tough. I haven't unlock all of them. I did, however, fully upgrade my Magnum. And now I have that magnum with unlimited ammo for another go around in the game. And anyone familiar with RE:4 knows about the Mercenaries unlockable one you solved the game. It is back for a 2nd time in this game. But I have my Magnum. Killer!

Damn, I missed this thread. It's been out for a while, only at the start still. Impressed with game all in all. Although! there appears to be screen glitches? frame issues? am I the only one, because I have a very good TV, and my console appears to be fine.

If I may suggest a few pointers, Vladan?

Ok well....I don't know if you know about ammo/money farming. But it is something you must do to do well in this game. In this game you are allowed to re-visit past completed levels. And in doing this you can exploit money and ammo.

BTW, upgrade the magnum all the way. Ammo for it is scarce, but in the end you'll be happy. Anyway, always carry your prefered weapon when breaking crates. Cause chances are you'll get ammo for that weapon.

Next, there are various levels that you absolutely must re-visit in order to have enough money to upgrade your weapons effectively.

Level 1-1 is cool for handgun ammo. Level 3-1 is just as great for magnum ammo. Just go to 'choose chapter' from the menu and play it again, saving IMMEDIATELY after you get what you want.....

Now here is the biggie. Ready? Once you encounter the 'Lickers' for the first time in the level before the Experimental facility...which I believe is chapter 5-2, you'll be rolling in money. Each one drops a Lion Heart worth $2,500....you can get 5 or 6 each time you visit the level. And in chapter 5-3 you can get 5 or 6 more. You'll be an upgrading fool. LOL. But the thing is....you have to save the game IMMEDIATELY after getting the 5th Lion Heart. Then in the menu you keep choosing the 'Continue' option. It puts you right back in the passageway just before the lickers. You keep getting around $12,500 each go around.

You do know to SELL treasures for cash, don't you?

Ok, excellent! thanks for the advice. And I don't know how to sell treasures for cash yet, though I have just beaten the boss, at the start of the game pretty much (the one where you have get it into a room, where you incinerate it) just past that bit, so I have lots to explore!. I will keep this thread as a reference when playing the game, there is good information here, which will come in handy! :)

Just had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday, so I have week off work, theres time to play games :) being drugged up on pain killers, and shooting things is pretty cool lol.

Re: The screen glitches Vladan, yes I noticed this too. Especially with doors? Very strange. Happened a lot once I got into the middle of the game or so.

It was a good game, a bit disappointed with the overall atmosphere... it wasn't creepy or dark like previous games. But lots of fun still.

Anybody play Xbox live in here? If so, I need some gamer tags/what games you play
