The Venues for all three Japan concerts are small, 5000, 2400, 2400? (not sure about the last one, may be a little smaller ). These are real theater type buildings with supposedly great acoustics, probably great for filming a DVD if the band was so inclined, although the Budokan is the premiere place, setup specifically for filming already if you can fill the place (14k seating capacity).
If they want to film in Manila, they may have second thoughts as only half the tickets have sold so far.

Very interested to hear Deen on Higher Place.
Always thought that song would've fit JSS like a glove.

I can see Deen crushing it. That's his style. I just don't know how that fucker drums and sings lead. I don't think I'd even be able to sing the occasional harmony even if I were a good drummer.

Thats terrible.....I read this thread to get excited and then this. DAMMIT

The whole JSS debacle was quite unprofessional to say the least, but at the same time I can see why they wouldn't want to see him if he indeed tried to visit them. Can you imagine how awkward it would be after dropping the guy to hanging out with him backstage?

That reason's a load of bullshit, if Soto was indeed turned away.
He's the one who got shafted, and yet has the class to make the first friendly gesture, and they fuck him over AGAIN?
Some would call it un-American.

IF this really happened, someone ought to tell 'nel about it.
He'd try to make it up to Jeff, by God...
because what they did was definitely un-Filipino.

Your pf comment would have been perfect here.

With that said, I had no idea that happened. I really don't see how anyone could have treated anyone worse than Jeff was treated. Now I'm pissed all over again.

I don't know what happened in Europe, but I believe at this point JSS had filed a lawsuit against Journey. I'm kinda assuming Journey was not happy and their lawyers had probably also told the band to stay away from JSS.

It seems a little strange that he would go visit the band amidst a lawsuit against them. About when did that lawsuit begin?

Maybe he was about to serve papers right then and there. Of course he will not be let in!

Not positive, but I've not heard anything from anyone to substantiate that there was ever a lawsuit.

JT mentioned it outside at the Manchester concert, when the Firefest guys were handing out flyers for the festival with JSS as Journey's former frontman featured. They quit handing out the flyers at that point.

I wouldn't put much credence in anything Toomey blabbered. He could have taken a rumor and ran with it.

Yea, hey didn't jss cover Higher Place at least once?

I'd like to hear Pineda have a crack at Knowing That You Love Me, one of the best latter period ballads and am dying to hear the live What I Needed.

Whether it was for a day or a week, JSS was officially their frontman at one point.

Yes, he did. This is from a show very early in his tenure. For some reason, the recording skips a little bit of the song, but you still get most of it.

Hey GB. I love JSS. I guess one person didn't think it was cool to be at the Journey concert with this promotion.

Firefest was packed anyway.
