Regardless how I feel about the group, I'm pulling for Arnel to have a great show tonight. I'm not concerned with the rest of the band but for this one show I hope Arnel really shines. To be in such dire straights as a youngster and having his life turn around to the point where he is now up on stage, performing in front of thousands of his countrymen is quite an achievement.

It's a huge night for Arnel on so many levels. I know he wants to make the band proud by his performance. And after years of struggling in the entertainment industry in the Philippines, to be performing in his homeland before so many fans and also in front of, I'm sure, a lot of his peers in the industry, family, is a big deal for him. It will be a great evening for Arnel. I'm sure Journey will be amazing.

I agree. Good Luck AP and the rest of the band.

I can't wait for the DVD.

That's great to hear. I'll bet AP and the band had a blast a that show. Can't wait for the reviews. Especially Rips.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

This so far, is Arnel's personal best ever, from what I am seeing, hearing and reading. He was just totally on it...all of it! Nothing tuned down and some higher than ever. This would be a DVD to have, if it becomes available.

I now officially feel guilty looking forward more to the DVD than the actual next album itself. Maybe we can put pressure on the caveman to put double-time on it, like release it prior to the album.

Yeah. Honestly, I think they should have put out another Escape: Houston 1981 DVD in this concert with Manila. A live CD and a DVD.

I dunno. I thought it was just going to be a regular album. But I'm hoping they'll put out a LIVE DVD/CD release before hand. And by "before hand" I mean within the next week.

I have suggested they might do it that way for marketing purposes as far as sales. No one with authority has said they are.

I'll buy it if it becomes available tomorrow. I feel a sense of shame hearing these things first on Youtube instead of my 5.1 surround. :D

Of course, with all the excitement we're feeling, hopefully it doesn't suck.

It won't suck. I just want it. Really bad. I'd give up Rick's left nut for it.

I hope not. Can't we hope for a summer release? Coincide with their tour?

They're not going to start recording until next fall.

As to the DVD release, that's anyone's guess. I hope soon! :D

I don't think we'll see a new album this year. I do think the DVD will be out later on this year though.

We're all confused! :) But yeah.

DVD -- fall/Christmas (hoping for the summer)
New album -- maybe spring 2010, fall 2010?

Yeah, I really hope the DVD makes it for a summer release. If not, I might turn emo. :?
