They don't want to get Glenn. They simply want to pigeonhole him as just another lap dog for the Republican party which, if you ever consistently listen to him, he is obviously not.

Ask any real psychologist if he is mentally ill and I guarantee you they would say no or, at the very least, that there's no way they can tell for sure. In my opinion, it's much more of a mental illness for men who don't or can't cry. Talk about being pigeonholed by your culture. Considering your narcissitic personality, I'd say it's much more likely that you're suffering from mental illness.

Anyway, he and his staff often joke about how easily he cries and they have a really good time with it. That's not exactly the hallmark of someone who is mentally ill.

Sorry.
Any other self-respecting news channel would've canned his ass the first time he blubbered uncontrollablly on-camera.
Thankfully, what few pockets of real journalism exist on that network (i.e. Shepard Smith) have painted Beck as the wackjob he is.

Oh.
So now you want us to go down the path of old Europe socialism, eh?
Give me a break.
Breaking down and crying ALL THE TIME is not normal anywhere.

Except when he sells "I Love Haliburton" T-shirts, makes excuses for war crimes, and throws "gloatfests" for Bush's re-election.
Other than that, nah, he's not in the tank at all.

You mean the same "liberal" playbook that....

- Had Nixon go fishing in the files of Daniel Ellsberg's shrink looking for dirt?
- Smeared VP Thom Eagleton as nuts, and had him withdraw from the Dem ticket?
- Insinuated that Dukakis was mentally ill, with Reagan leading the charge calling him an "invalid"?

Make no mistake, that playbook is yours.

People are calling Beck crazy (including FOX's own employees) because he breaks down and cries like a vagfaced pussywillow.
What would otherwise be a Howard Beale career destroying moment has become a recurring part of the nightly trainwreck.

That's funny, considering all the times I've mentioned Conservatives I've agreed with and actually had some respect for (Buchanan, Tucker, Ron Paul, Bruce Fein).
The truth is, Cons like them who actually showed a dint of independent thought (and dared to speak out against un-conservative things like war crimes and 3 trillion dollar wars) were made into pariahs of the party.
And still are...
Just look at Tucker Carlson getting boo-ed at CPAC for daring to suggest that, unlike most Conservative news outlets, the NYTimes actually does their homework.

If you ever wondered how many pieces of Americana bric-a-brac one could awkwardly fit into a 5 X 7 book cover, now you know.

I guess you want to return to the daily corruption, ineptness and blind disregard of the constitution eh? Also, a nice tidy economy as well under W.

Obama inherited the worst mess ever left for someone on Pennsylvania Ave. You all expect him to have it cleaned up within 80 days huh?

Your party is an embarrassment, and your ideals are almost laughable. You do know that the GOP is a heartbreak away from extinction right?

Deano- This started with Clinton in 1992 singing the economic recovery act. Then the 2 clown Clinton appointees to Fannie & Freddie -Franklin Raines & the other guy who made banks not ? income/source or have any downpayments. They both fled with millions in compensation. Why are they not jailed with the Madoff's,Enron guys and any Wall streeters & creative loan bankers that accepted bailout. If you follow the smell it always leads to Congress buying voters with deals. Now, they are going to save us? Our kids will never be able to pay for this and China should pull the credit card of Congress and they are rumbling about doing just that. Now to Clintons credit ,he did block his own party from spending many times and saved this country $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Dude, calm down.

If you're going to bitch about a party bitching about the other party, be fair and include Nancy Pelosi's constant rants about how fallible the Republicans [most notably George Bush] are. They undeniably deserve it, nevertheless. But, at least be fair.

The fact that I tried to debate with you in a somewhat civil fashion is quite sickening considering I predicted the response.

My political orientation has nothing to do with the arguments I make as you may see, quite clearly in fact, from my prior post. I took great care in signifying that the Republicans deserve all vilification that they receive, but, in the pursuit of factual correctness, you have a responsibility to signify YOUR party's fallacies as well.

Yeah, that war in Iraq is the 8,000 pound gorilla perched on the back of the Republican party.

Again, I reiterate I COMPLETELY supported Afghanistan, and I think we should have stayed there and gotten Bin Laden. It could have been done. And I appreciate the bravery of the men and women who fought in Iraq...I just cannot, nor will I ever, support the reasons given for that "pre-emptive" war.

What the Republicans need right now is an honest-to-goodness actual Fiscal Conservative with the ability to draw both parties together. Bush's father - himself an underrated President and fantastic diplomat (did W. ever learn that word?) - is an imperfect example. It sure as hell isn't Jindal, or anyone else in the wings right now.

But the Democratic party was left for dead in 1994, so I just view this current political climate as a natural progression...I don't think the GOP is doomed; it is in terrible shape, however. And lampooning Obama is not going to work, either.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

You sir are a bullshitter.
Defaults on Fannie and Freddie were actually LESS because of gov't regulations put in place.
Most no-money-down, no income, no asset, no credit check loans did not meet the mortgage giants' lending standards.
Over 80% of the lenders that doled out subprime loans were private mortgage firms not even subject to the CRA (some even advertised on late nite TV!).

Markets are up....and have been up since Obama said "things aren't as bad as we thought". I'm obviously over-simplying, but you can't be Jimmy Carter and be successful..and thats exactly how Obama sounded for 6 weeks.

Actually, last week was by far his best week - stem cell reversal and positive comments acting as a catalyst for the markets. Not shabby. Mybe somebody can take Biden and Cheney and shoot them both to Mars and we can have a positive month.

So, Mr. Copy and Paste, how do you explain the 4 straight days of the Dow going up? That damned failure, Obama!

It's clear now, that the only hope you Cons have, is to hope and pray for Obama to fail. That in itself is despicable and desperate.

Attributing 4 straight positive days for the Dow on Obama is like sleeping with the window open one night while battling a cold, and upon waking up the next morning and your cold is all but gone....and attributing it to leaving the window open.....nonsense. False Conclusion. Fallacy alert.

I don't see that we can give credit to or lay blame on the president for the overall health of the financial markets. I DO think that the president's comments can cause little dips or rallies, especially right now. However, I think what Bernanke says and does has a much bigger effect. The major problems with our economy took many years to build, and democrats and republicans are all to blame. I'm currently pissed off at Barney Frank and Alan Greenspan for their parts in this mess. I also don't think we've seen the worst of it. There are many of the more "exotic" mortgages that will be adjusting later this year. For the life of me, I can't remember what they are called. But from what I've heard, the situation will be much worse when that happens.

Nice attempt at sin, Bozo. It doesn't matter I suppose. You Cons will all call this the Obama recession in 3 years anyway, even though he will be the one to end the W recession.

Now the administration says this recession should be over before Christmas.

What are you Cons going to run on? Is there any divisive topics left to choose from? Abortion? Stem cells? lol, I am loving this.

Crying over something minor that wouldn't move anyone to tears is one thing but being moved to tears over something a person feels passionate about is quite another. EVERY time Beck has shed tears on television has been when discussing something he is passionate about (the country, our soldiers, his family, etc.). EVERY one. The only thing it's proof of is that unfeeling imbeciles like yourself see ANY tears shed by a man to be somehow less than masculine, which just goes to lend additional evidence to my longstanding charge that you're one of the most homophobic users on this board (Tito notwithstanding).

That's because Obama and his administration are saying the same things now about the "strong fundamentals of the economy" that McCain was pilloried for back during the election season. Obama is being pilloried, not because it isn't true, but because his campaign basically lambasted McCain for saying the same thing and the economy is no better, and probably worse, than it was at the time McCain said those things.

Thus far, you've stated nothing but "fuck you"'s or "u douchebags!!11!1" whereas I have actually produced something of worth in my short time in posting. If defeating someone consists strictly of screaming the mocked phrases above through belligerent, typed messages, then by all means, I will concede.

LOL -- nevertheless, give me a break. The democrats, just as the republicans, have had horrible inconsistencies. Barky and his crew have recently started spewing the same rhetoric that John McCain did on the campaign tour. In fact, he even stated that he was against taxing healthcare on the campaign trail. Now, his administration is considering it.

No he isn't. Obama stated:

"But if we are -- if we are keeping focused on all the fundamentally sound aspects of our economy, all the outstanding companies, workers, all the innovation and dynamism in this economy, then we're going to get through this. And I'm very confident about that."

McCain, on the other hand, spoke of the economy in the abstract.
He didn't come out and clarify that he was specifically speaking about the entrepreneur and average blue-collar worker until Wall Street had already nosedived.
His last minute attempt to put a Rosie the Riveter, populist face on it rang as false then, as it does when you lie about it now.
Combined with the "nation of whiners" comment by his own Treasury Secretary and his inability to keep count of his own homes, McCain came off looking as if he'd be more at home playing shuffleboard at a Boca Raton hospice.
