As far as Threshold, I'm into progressive, but it has to HIT me, you know. No offense, but they don't do it for me.

H.E.A.T. - have the Cd, haven't listened to them yet....I will and get back to you.

and GOTT-HARD...what needs to be said about Steve Lee? Nothng. Guy is a class act. Have all the CDs, 'cept for the live stuff. Top 10 band for me. And the J-Boyzzzz aren't in my top 20, so that says it all....

Keep 'em coming Deb..... :D

See? Now, Andi Deris doesn't do it for me. :? Everytime one of those songs would come on shuffle, I usually skip it. Can you tell I'm a HUGE David Readman fan???

I love progressive, too, and Threshold is a different kind of prog to me, so I guess that's why I like it. Not necessarily a 'prog by numbers' with them.

Any idea if this DVD is available for purchase?

Then there's this one.....it is PAL format, but you can always rip it, then burn it region-free....that's what I do.

Porcupine Tree. They have a truly original vibe and sound, that has been present through their transformation from an experimental electronica band, through their modern incarnation as a prog/alternative band. Very skilled musicians all, the songs and concepts they present are interesting and this band has yet to get old to me. Throw Tool, Coldplay, Muse, Radiohead, Dream Theater, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Marillion, Journey circa 1975, Pink Floyd, and the Killers into a blender.... and you get Porcupine Tree.

PT is great

I read a story one time that PT opened for Yes recently and the audience was so into PT, that Yes said that they wouldn't open for them any more.

aggh. Prog keeps talking about these guys. I still have to check it out.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.
