"Captured By the Moment" is my favorite of his studio releases as well.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

It's funny, but I have never given SP's solo stuff much attention, and lately, for whatever reason, I have been getting into it. I love all the references in Captured By The Moment, it's just too cool. Missing You has to be his best vocal performance, solo, that I can find. Just amazing.

Shut up Gideon.

Awww... besos, hombre. :D

I like Perry's solo stuff too... ok, more like half of Street Talk and 1/4th of FTLOSM.

To me, it's the only all around good song he had as a solo artist. Plenty of great vocal work in his solo body, but this one had great music, writing and overall chemistry.

Gotta be Strung Out, Oh Donna Please, and You Better Wait. Those songs are excellent. I also liked Melody from some B side. His solo stuff is great, though different from Journey.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

So true, Rhi and Rick. About half of Street Talk and one-fourth to one-third of FTLOSM. We're all in sync today musically.
