Steve Smith With Allman Brothers

Postby lbeau12 » Fri Mar 27, 2009 3:35 am

The Allmans Brothers band is doing there annual Beacon Theater run in NYC. On March 24th Steve Smith sat in on drums for the song Southbound also with John Popper and Sonny Landreth. Butch Trucks the drummer has a new way to see concerts called moogis. www.moogis.com. Had to pay 125 for all 15 shows that are streamed live and then are archived. The hope is to have several venues around the country where you could stream a live concert for maybe the price of a ticket. I cannot share the viseo of it as it cannot be copied. Sounded great.

wow...smitty jamming with the allman brothers band...that's a news indeed, never crossed my mind or imagined it, since ABB has 2 drummers already in butch trucks and jaimoe plus marc quinones on percussion...but since it's just a jam session, i guess everything is possible!

Wow, I would have loved to have been there for that show. The Allman Bros have been one of my favorite groups since 1969 and to see Steve Smith and Sonny Landreth as well. Awesome...

Thanks,

Sorry. It is a subscription to the Live streamed concerts. There is no way to capture it and plus it is copyrighted.
