If that defines "kidding around," it would really be shameful to see your ad hominem. No e-thuggery behind my thesis. You. Are. An. Ass.

Yes, this is an open discussion but random attacks that you suddenly claim as "JOKES ZOMG!!!" sorta ruin it, don't you agree? It is especially so when the jokes are particularly distasteful. I would tell you to cut the bullshit again, but I see that you are pathologically incapable of it.

Edit: My arrogant, challenging comments have not had the favor returned to them, Madsplash. I simply wish for a simple retort, devoid of useless comments such as the one that started this snafu.

I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Attacks? We have a VERY different idea of attacks. I've been attacked in real life, and I've attacked. It was NOTHING like the silly banter that we've tossed about.

My feelings aren't hurt, I just don't appreciate seeing distasteful "JOKES LULZZ!!!1!11" hurled whenever someone cannot create a viable defense for their claims.

I don't think they have full bands in AI, just artists.

I wonder how Neal and the boys would take it if Steve Perry was on Idol? Do you think Neal would rejoice for Perry, or do you think it would make him mad that Perry got the spotlight and took credit for the big hits that he sang with Journey?

BTW, I couldn't believe Matt was in the bottom two tonight. I think that blonde with the full-arm tattoo should have been been there instead.

If I'm not mistaken, I think they did this with Queen a couple of seasons ago. :?

Now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing Brian May on there with the drummer. Was Paul Rodgers with them? I can't remember.

8)

I think they had a Bon Jovi night once also, can't remember if the whole band was there but I think so.

Yep, the whole band was there and performed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndifI4OYzE0 But it was just Jon, from what I recall, that did the mentoring.

LOL, they've come a long way since..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lctYVZ-bQ3U (one of my favorite songs from their first record). Been a fan since way back in 84 or so when a friend and I first saw them on American Bandstand doing Runaway. I remember an ex teasing me relentlessly at the time saying they were just a bunch of pretty boys and would never go anywhere. Haha, 25 years later, still together and selling out arenas! :P Not too impressed with their last album though.......

I love Bon Jovi. Saw them once in Portland, OR for the Have a Nice Day Tour, in Las Vegas for Tiger Jam, and in Anaheim for the Lost Highway tour. The last tour in Anaheim, I had a floor seat just a few rows from Richie Sambora! I have all kinds of video and photographs of that night. It was very special. I had just seen the movie, "Bucket List" and at the top of my list was, I want "a floor seat at a Bon Jovi Concert." There is a God, and he was shining on me the day I got that seat! :D

What a fucking load of crock! The ability to hear if someone is singing on pitch and in tune is hardly difficult! Or what, you think singers sit there singing to a tuner to work out if they're pitched correctly?

Man, you are so full of shit they should mine you for guano.

He's just running true to form; I said this to him a bit over a month ago, and it still hold true:

"I find you to be a dull, monotonous, insular, overbearing, pretentious, self-centred dickhead with a very poor sense of humour and a bad sense of judgement, who runs away when it looks like a fight might be lost, then stands on the next dunghill and crows 'I'm not going to waste my time fighting, let's agree to disagree'. "

The next step is to imply it's all a joke and he loves everyone really. Then rinse and repeat ad nauseum.

Trust me when I tell you that I don't run away from fights. At least not ones in the real world, rather than ones in cyberspace with gum flapping, keyboard muscled tough guys.

I hate that there isn't any way to have to stand behind one's words when they're spoken through a computer. In real life there's a pecking order and each person falls into place by whether or not they can back up what they say.

"On Line", you are able to just keep letting your mockingbird mouth write checks that your hummingbird ass never has to worry about having to try and cash. So keep flapping. Cyber space is a comfy place isn't it?

Here's how Idol will play out.....Judges will save their 'judge's save' til Adam is voted off. They'll save him, but he'll get voted off the next week anyway.

Adam just doesn't have 'it'.....sorry. Your bracket is busted. Adam is going down. It's all over but the crying....

The 16 year old has got "it" too, and maybe more of "it" than Adam, but Adam has got "it" right now in his life and is old enough
to sign contracts on his own, and tour without his mother with him. In other words, he's more marketable and that is all Simon is interested in.
Plus Adam has an edge in his personality that exudes his unique style and that sells too. Adam is the one IMO. :D

No, unlike some people, I don't claim to be an expert. But I do know the basics, and that's one of the most basic basics for any musician - you have to be able to hear if you are in tune.

Perhaps. Makes sense as to why the show is called American Idol, and not American Singer. Play on the audiences libidos and hormones. Subliminally suggest who to vote for....that is if the people's votes actually count.

This show has become a farce.....Best singer hardly ever wins. The winner is whomever can make them the most QUICK money. Producers have that smash & grab mentality....Carry On.

No, but they all get exposure nonetheless. Like I said the BEST singer hardly ever wins. Fantasia won because she played the single mother card, and carted her daughter onstage.....I liked her the first time I heard her when her name was Macy Gray. Taylor Hicks was not going to be the next Michael McDonald, and the only thing Reuben has in common with Luther is the weight.

Idol makes 90% of its money during the run of the show....All those Ford Commercials. A nice chunk of kickback from ATT&T for those text votes. And lets not forget the Top 10 concert tour.....

When the residents of Hawaii pushed Jasmine Trias to the final three because of her ethnicity instead of her talent, the show lost all respectability.

Just watched the results show, and yes I see it.

Danny is looking rather smug now. I agree.

I think the right guy went home this week.

And I wonder if the order in which they read out the names has any bearing on the number of votes received?
What I mean is, Adam was read out and told he was safe early on - does that mean he got the most votes this week?

It always came to my understanding that it was a random process until the lowest vote-getters were chosen.

I just had this theory that Simon would suddenly start liking him when he knew how popular he was, and the dollar signs in Simon's eyes would make him start to praise the guy.
And as Adam's name was announced first this week and, lo and behold, Simon thought he was good - I just wondered if he got the most votes.

It always came to my understanding that it was a random process until the lowest vote-getters were chosen.

I may be wrong, though.

I just had this theory that Simon would suddenly start liking him when he knew how popular he was, and the dollar signs in Simon's eyes would make him start to praise the guy.
And as Adam's name was announced first this week and, lo and behold, Simon thought he was good - I just wondered if he got the most votes.

That would be a fairly logical path to follow.

But they're not about logic. They're about the dollar signs, as you say Simon is.

Adam was INCREDIBLE this week. "Tracks Of My Tears" is an amazing song and for him to keep restrained on it was impressive. The iTunes version is a little different from the live one, but worth buying.

Allison Iraheta blows me the fuck away. I'm so impressed with that girl. iTune version is just as amazing as the live version.

I love Danny's voice, but I hate his frat-boy bullshit personality and those fuckin' glasses and his cockiness is getting old.

Anoop Desai did a really good job with "Ooh, Baby, Baby", a song that I have loved forever, but I don't think he's got too many more episodes.

Megan, fuckin' disaster, wrong song, but I like her style.

Blind piano guy, HAS GOT TO GO.

Matt, the other piano dude, is awesome.

Michael, that went home, should have gone home last week.

Lil Rounds, sucked alot! She's good, but this week, she was NOT.

The homophobic bullshit about Adam is childish and needs to stop. Years ago being black on a show like this would not have been acceptable either, and before that, being a woman wouldn't have been cool either. Progress is a good thing.
