Why? The fairs are far cheaper and offer a world of more shit to do. Go to Freedom Hall in Kentucky then. That place holds 19,000.

That's where you'll find my ass this year.
I won't be looking for your "ass" but I hope to meet the rest of you. I'll be there, dude. I can be your beer hook up, junior.  :P

It'll be awesome. Unlike you, I plan to actually remember the concert.
Hey, fuck you!!! I remember a few songs from most of the shows. But seriously, I've had a few drinks maybe 4 times in the last 6 months. All but quit. And it sucks. Gonna fire the engine back up this summer I think. :)

Just you wait dipshit.
lol...I didn't fully recover from out night of debauchery for about 2 weeks. Man, we put on a fucking clinic. Remember Paul's face when he tried the glass of Vodka I bought him? Poor guy thought it was a mixed drink. The staff there was pretty amazed by our "skills."

Dude, we were on a fuckin roll. We didn't stop all night. I wasn't even plannin on that shit, I was gonna fuckin drive back to PA that night, lol. I was hurtin for a good 2 days after that. I'm sippin on a few of these tonight, got an early wake-up call, but they are gettin me in the mood to pound some beers this summer:

Real fuckin good.

We're gonna destroy Put In Bay in May. Should be a nice MR turnout for that one I hope. Behshad should be able to make that one. Fucker better not embarrass us by requesting a Talisman song from 7th Heaven.

Start training now, you only got about two months. I plan on being up til 6 and drinking the whole time

    This is gonna be a fucking blast!

The New York State Fair was the best show I saw last year. Not the funnest time I had, but it was the best show. So much shit to do as well. Great food and tons of booze, rides, attractions, etc.

Just a matter of preference is all grumpy! :P

It's hot enough as it is in FL during the summer, I prefer a nice indoor type venue.

In the Augeri era, they would do a major tour, then the next year a tour in remote places such as fairgrounds, etc...I think one of those tours was called "Detour".

Example

1998 - Vacations over (small venues in many areas)

1999 - Vacations Over - Major tour with Forigner

2000 - ?

2001 - Arrival tour

2002 - "detour"

2003 - Main Event Tour with Styx and REO

2004 - another "detour"

2005 - 30th aniv. tour

2006 - Def Leppard tour (major venues but as the support act)

2007 - one gig in VA

2008 - Revelation tour

2009 - Euro/Asia tour with selected dates in the US...so far

The point of this is that I don't see a backwards trend, its basicly keeping to what they have done for the past 10 years or so.

I wouldn't be concerned until they are doing "only" state fairs. Gotta be the state of the economy. People can't afford funnel cakes and Journey concerts, separately, this year.

when they become the FREE ENTERTAINMENT at the state or county fairs... then worry...
