Latest UK Classic Rock issue - best singers in rock poll

Postby SusieP » Wed Apr 01, 2009 8:25 pm

Anyone seen this?
SP made the list but only at number 9.
One step ahead of Janis screeching/shouting Joplin.
Its a travesty.
But at least he made the damn list.
Freddie Mercury was number one.
In my opinion the list has some very questionable entries.

This is a poll of best singers, not best voices. Janis was a great singer. So was Jim Morrison. I hated the Doors, but you can't deny his abilities. Look at a guy like Bryan Adams. Not the best voice but a helluva singer.

I cannot believe the best singer today, Arnel Pineda, is not on here! How long til the Buff Puffs roll in here and tag team me?

I hate Joplin's voice.
And I have no idea what Noddy Holder is doing on there.
He just shouted.

And Coverdale, Hughes and Gramm should be WAY nearer number one IMO.
