Russ Miller recently did live dates with Andrea Bocelli and recorded former Journey lead singer Steve Perry’s first album in eighteen years. Russ also has a new instructional DVD out on Hudson called Arrival: Behind The Glass.

But what's up with the first album in 18 years? That puts us back to '91.
Medicine came out in '94 and TBF came out in '96.

Right. Little bit of a fact checking problem there, eh? Wonder if they bothered to check whether this album that Russ played on is actually going to be released before printing this.

Why in the hell would he record an album and not plan to release it? And pay one of the busiest drummers in the world, probably triple scale, to play on it?

Two words. Chinese Democracy. That was a 13 year recording and release process. We're already into about year 2+ on Perry... at least 2+ since I first started hearing this. I'm sure a few others have heard it longer.

I NEVER EVER said "he won't release it" so don't pull your "I'm right and you're all in denial" bullshit on me. The difference is I'm not arrogant enough to make claims over what some rock guy will or won't do, or when because no one knows but him. Sure he might release it. He might not. Whatever.

What I said was that they likely did not bother to confirm any kind of information, specifially release info. Maybe they should call you for confirmation since you know all about it.

My complaint wasn't that he didn't know something or that he was wrong. My point all along was the way he comes across, not what he's saying.
