Did everyone catch the ad for the new series tonight? The singers did DSB. The song is as fresh as ever.

I saw it. It played during American Idol tonight. At first, I was like 'why does that song sound familiar?" duh. lol. It was a loooong day & it didn't register right away. I had seen the preview for the show last week and thought it might be interesting to watch...now, of course I must watch.

When I saw that commercial last night, I just KNEW I'd see a post about it today... This is right up there with "I heard Open Arms in the elevator today! " Ugh... Are we adults or are we in junior high?

What? You don't think that it's newsworthy to hear a Journey song in a movie or a tv series? Since when? I'm sorry, but you're full of shit.

You're equating a song sung on an elevator to one sung in a tv series as at the same level? That has to be about the dumbest shit posted today and junior high kids are smarter than that.

Rocker Chic, Arkansas, be careful, don't let Gideon catch you "bitching."

I can see whirlwind's point in this particular case, as it's fairly a decent size event. But man, those fat women over at BT post each and every Journey sighting and hearing possible.

Hell, last hour, I saw a commercial on TV about "Power Ballads, and journey was on it(no, it wasn't the Pineda version). Lula and i looked at each other and started laughing, because we know, that will be on some J board soon.

And why the hell not, Dean? It's what this forum is about. I'm proud as hell that Journey's hits are getting such exposure. Hell, DSB has become our second national song and one of the biggest downloads on youtube. If some people don't like some of the topics or postimgs, they can and should ignore them.

The point isn't b!tching about exposure. That's great. The annoyance is all the adults carrying-on like posting on a website is re-living their prepubescent infatuations like the purple Donny Osmond socks poster in Tiger Beat magazine. Jeez. This is a 70s/80s band whose players are 50-something, yet so many seem to want to regress like they're foaming over Bobby Sherman, or lathering-up over Leif Garret or David Cassidy. Good gawd, we all know their classic tunes have legs and will be around for a long time...as will many other bands'. Grow-up and lose the juvenile goo-goo $hit, okay?

THANK YOU! :) Those are the sentiments that I was trying to get across. :!: If Steve Perry farted in the woods, would someone post about it here tomorrow???? :P

Who couldn't give a damn if DSB was on TV/Radio/Film... In my house, it's all about stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfQaa2gKNjo  -- This movie is freakin' loaded with popular songs and they're all the "Chicken Little song" to my son no matter who is singing them.

You better believe they would. This is a board with topics like "Omg, just heard two notes of what might have been Faithfully on TV!" and "Omg Steve Perry was shown for a microsecond on the jumbotron at a ball game! It was the best microsecond ever!!" and "They played DSB on Idol! That means Perry is going to be on the show!"

You think the perryhounds wouldn't give you a detailed account of it if he ripped ass in the woods? You'd get the exact date and time it happened, what he was wearing, who he was with, as well as 4-6 pages about what foods might have caused it.
