If this level of GOP butthole skewering keeps up, Colbert may be the youngest recipient of the Mark Twain award for humor EVER.
Essential viewing for anyone who values blue comedy, and the American way of life.

Hey TNC, you ever watch HBO's "The Wire?" I think you'd like it.

Don't have HBO anymore.
Heard great things about it tho.
If it's anything close to The Shield, I'd prolly dig it.

I love The Shield as well. I still haven't seen the final season. I don't have HBO either, just find the DVDs cheap and watch em that way. I would definitely look into it. It's not quite The Shield, but it's definitely great. Think of it as maybe The Shield meets L.A. Confidential.

Final season was damn good.
Like last season, keeping all the A, B, and C plotlines straight in your head starts to feel a bit like homework, but overall, it's a worthwhile ride.
And, unlike some shows (namely, Battlestar Galactica), the final eps don't feel hobbled together with little more than duct tape and an underestimation of the viewers' IQ.
The final scene feels like it was planned from day one.
Will check out The Wire. Thnks.

I can't wait to watch it. Lem's execution from the third-last season (5?) was still one of the most chilling moments I've ever had watching any TV show or movie. Unreal. I just don't know if I can wait for the DVD. Probably gonna end up torrenting it once I have the time to mow through it.

To my recollection, President Obama hasn't ferried the bin laden family out of the US following a terrorist attack. Things that make you go hmm.

No, just planning on closing Gitmo and possibly releasing prisoners in the US. Thanks, Bamster!!!

Riiiggghhhttt. You need to remember that idiocy and incompetence left office in January.

This is a smart Administration. Emanuel, Clinton and Geithner are all top headed folks. I remember heariing you dolts wanting Timmy's head. Care to revisit that ? He has proven to be the bomb.

Clinton going on a talk show and BEGGING the North Koreans to call her is smart?
On one hand it's hilariously pathetic. On the other, it's sad and embarrassing.

Yep, that's why she was damned near unanimously confirmed by the republicans in the Senate, by a vote of 94-2. Only two republican dumbshits, from South Carolina and Louisiana of course(2 red state morons), opposed.

Next?

Just shows how ignorant you are about the real world Deano. Daddy Bin Laden was a bigtime construction magnate in Saudi, a very respected businessman who was worth hundreds of millions. My own father-in-law has worked with his company in Saudi Arabia. Bush got them the hell out of dodge before something bad could have happened to them. They were no more involved with Osamas actions on 9/11 than Mansons (real) family members were in the 60's. In 1994, the bin Laden family disowned Osama and the Saudi government revoked his passport and took away his citizenship. When you have a reported 54 children, it's a wonder more than one didn't turn out bad.

Bin Ladin building. Dubai, United Arab Emirates

What hypocrisy. LOL, you can mock the President for bowing to a Saudi head of State, yet defend Bush for getting the bin Laden's the Hell out of America, because your dad worked for them. You just keep getting more and more hysterically funny. I can't stop laughing at how desperate you ALL have become. FF, Barb and RWF...you should all take some time off, pray hard something bad happens to the country, then come back in and spout off. Right now, you are making yourselves look like fools.

Said Arab King banned that practice 5 years ago and obviously you're smartest TOTUS didn't get or read the memo.

Also, giving an I-Pod to the Queen? Give me a fucking break, low class O.

Hahaha, now I forever will have the proof, that you were indeed a Bush supporter. You ought to just go kill yourself now. How embarrassing. You and the 20% who supported that donkey dick should move to Texas and become his BBQ buddies.

All of us who bashed that retard did so after he ruined the country and then the world. At least we gave him a chance. Perhaps we shouldn't have.

But bowing down, (something Reagan did to foreign leaders), is now considered high treason.
And you guys wonder why you were soundly thwumped at the ballot box?
Come 2012 will you have anything to serve up beyond these shiny diversions for the culturally illiterate?

You surprise me, TNC. Men holding hands and kissing each other is quite normal in the Arab culture. Bush actually WAS being respectful. Obama is being SUBMISSIVE.

I'm sure you can manage a quick Google search to verify this. ;)

So do McCain, Gates, and Powell.
Mind sharing with us just how many silver stars rest on your shoulders, GOP chickenshit?
Even Susan Crawford, the official in charge of deciding whether to bring Gitmo detainees to trial (as well as Army general counsel under Reagan) says Gitmo doesn’t work.
The only people still supporting it are Bush administration deadenders and lowly sadomasochistic thugs.

If they were unfairly swept up in raids and are not guilty, who cares?
It's ok.
Both the British and Spanish governments are putting politics aside and investigating this dark shameful chapter in US history.
Amazingly, in England, the Conservatives act like Conservatives (not fascists), and are in favor of throwing the book at Bush and Cheney.

That only holds water if you buy into the idea that the US President should conform himself to Arab standards.
I don't.
You know what else is "quite normal" in Saudi Arabia?
Female circumcision and stoning gays.
As a general showing of respect, what Obama did is fine.

LOL, again- What are you rabid Cons going o say when a US soldier is captured and waterboarded, and tortured by other means as well? We won't have a single leg to stand on, nor a whispering voice, because we are no better. What the Bush/Cheney Admin did was reprehensible and disgusting. We reap what we sow.

So now you're upset that Obama didn't hew closely enough to Saudi Arabia's foreign customs?
The one in the same location where Sharia is considered the law of the land?

This argument is garbage.
Like the photos that circulated of Obama in Somali garb, this is standard-issue diplomacy twisted into a fear of the racial unkown.

Nope, not at all. I just find it hilarious that none of you can defend Obama's actions without dragging Bush into it. I don't think the Saudi King deserves respect from any American President.

You missed the entire point. Neither is the right thing to do. The point is, America is supposed to be better than that- "we don't torture," remember? Oh but wait, yeah, I guess we do.

Sounds to me you support Bush and Cheney and their acceptance too waterboarding. Disgraceful.

There lies the problem. Is not Saudi Arabia an ally? Do they not support us on the war on terror? Hell. I would say I respect the Saudi King more than I do George W Bush and dick Cheney, and yes, I am serious.

Take the flag off Barb, that is a cheap and shallow way to argue Americana bravado.

As a general sign of respect to foreign royalty, I have no problem with it whatsoever. None.
I'm not sure what imaginary brand of flip-the-bird cowboy diplomacy your advocating, but it doesn't exist and NEVER has.
Even Reagan retracted his own "evil empire" rhetoric while meeting with the Soviets - back when they were actively stockpiling intermediate range missiles aimed at Europe.

Just mind blowing. I cannot fathom the degree of which you people follow the GOP flag. Reprehensible to say the least.

Just for the record, you support the art of waterboarding?

If so, when our troops get captured and killed and are shown on CNN being dragged through the streets of Kabul, Baghdad or the Bakara market, you can't say a fucking word.

Quite franky, I was disgusted by it. And I think the argument from your side at the time was all about the number of 9/11 hijackers who came from there.

Your hypocrisy is hysterical.
