Have a link to these lists?

And lord I hope not. That one isn't the best, and there is already a dvd from that tour. :?
Why do another? Departure or ROR would be much more welcome by fans.

I would love to see the Mountaire (sp?) CA show from ROR. From the few songs we've all seen from it, that looks to be a cool show.

I have been waiting for years to see the Mountian Aire Festival DVD to be released. I would even be content with any ROR concert DVD. In fact I would have rather seen the Mountain Aire show on DVD over the Houston one anyday. Steve said at one point he was going to release one, but we all know how that goes lol.

There was another show from that tour that (I believe) was shot in its entirety... there was a great deal of ROR footage used in Behind the Music... so I want to know where THAT show is. Release that!!

But really... I say Departure. And not that Japan one, we've all seen it.
Departure was Journey at its best. :D 8)

I'd like to hear the ROR one. I realize it was sort of hit or miss for Perry then, but he knocked it out of the ballpark when he did hit it. It's my favorite era of his vocals, too.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

Yep WCTNGOF is a fantastic tune from that Album.

It's my favorite vocal performance from any artist. The band as a whole kicked ass on that song, though it's not quite enough to knock "If He Should Break Your Heart" from its number one perch in my book.

I have been waiting to see or hear Mt Aire for a couple of years now. Maybe I'll get lucky someday.

The Holy Grail of Journey memorabilia.

Re original question, I believe it must be the 7-31-81 show, Jon's first oversea with the band. Journey fans have been circulating the show (audio and video) for years. Not an official release.

It didn't look like Atlanta, but I'm willing to take your word for it.

I was thinking it was whichever show this....

Believe this is the Tokyo 1981 show, lots of clips from it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B4u361NPXs Would be cool to have a cleaned up version of that show. But I would hope they would do the ROR Mountain Aire show before that one as we already have a 1981 Houston dvd.

No. I believe this is an Escape concert. They already have an Escape concert on DVD. It was stoopid to release this.

It's a bootleg.

EXACTLY why it won't be released. ROR? Bleh, I really don't care.

If we are going to get old retreads, I'd rather have the Superjam released.

The "only the young" clip i think is in fact from the fresno show. They supposely taped a full concert during their raised on radio tour there. There definetly is a ton of energy on the ROR tour clips and plus by that time they had a huge catalogue to play from. They definetly need to release a ROR concert dvd next.
