Towelhead-was very disturbing(between the abusive neglectful parents and the adult neighbor taking advantage of a 13 yr old girl just left me wondering about so many abused children out there in the real world)

the Babysitters again 13-15 yr old girls start a sex babysitting business for older men(just leaves a bad feeling in your gut seeing some of this) maybe thats what they want to evoke, both these movies just didnt sit right.

Se7en was a very well written, supurbly acted and HIGHLY DISTURBING movie!
I can watch parts of it from time to time; but probably not all the way through in one sitting. One of my favorite parts for Morgan Freeman.

The creators' follow-up, 8mm, I felt was over the top. Saw it once and never want to watch it again. Like Se7en, well written and great acting. But with this one, they crossed a line IMO.

There is a Japanese movie called Audition that is far and away the most disturbing movie I have ever seen. The torture in unimaginable. When I saw it there were about 50 people in the theater and by the end it was less than 10. Very good movie, though once was enough for me.

Agree. Both very disturbing. Untracable (I think that's what it's called w/Diane Lane) was another disturbing one with all that internet torture.

Agreed, disturbing but very interesting movie. Also unbelievable what he did to his body for this role. Some say he did permanent damage which will show up later.

Maybe why he's always an angry young man?

He did the same thing to himself for "Rescue Dawn".

"They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" got me knotted up emotionally for weeks; the things that desperate people will do, the things that greedy people will do to exploit them, and the things that we will accept without thought in the name of entertainment.

Oh my gosh, I'd completedly forgotten about that movie. It was a very disturbing film but very well done and the acting was excellent.

Rented it and you're right. Disturbing and most of these kids don't have the thoughtful neighbor to run to in crisis.

Interesting to see the disparity of experiences of a boy and girl close in age. The 10 year old boy was like a little kid while the girl had to deal with his lech dad.

Haunting?

When did Kathleen Turner go from hottie in "Body Heat" (see Exhibit A) to a bust with more masculine qualities than Clint Eastwood (see Exhibit B)? Holy shit. The years have not been kind. I feel duped. I unwittingly wacked it to a future Ernest Borgnine twin 20 years ago. She's frightening!
