Blinded by the Light.....Bruce wrote it, recorded it - and it went nowhere. Manfred Mann got the hit, Charted at #1 on the Hot 100. To this day it is Bruce's ONLY #1 song as a songwriter. I'm sure he's pissed.

wrong...

earlier time...
How about you tell us?

the kingsmen and Paul Revere and the Raiders...

and louie louie is the song... Paul Revere released on a lp first, then kingsmen got a single for the song...and they got the hit for it..

Head East sound like a bunch of fags. Rainbow kicks ass and makes it a good rock song. Graham Bonnet owns that song, he owns it!

Well duh,,,
I think what he meant is , an artist re-recording and releasing a song, while the original artist's version is on the charts.

and as far as Dont turn around, it has been covered and released WAY TOO many times.....
in addition to those you mentioned above, I have heard the song sang by Tina Turner, Bonnie Tyler, Aswad, Tone Norum and Luther Ingram....

Really? That's what a bunch of fags sounds like? I thought it was more like Village People or Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Anyway, I like John Schlitt's voice better (just listen to him years later in Petra) but Rainbow's recording trounces HE's. It's just a better production, and shit, Ritchie Blackmore's one of the greatest rock guitarists ever. Cozy Powell on drums. Don Airey on keyboards. It's no wonder Rainbow's version is the recognizeable one. Heck, a lot of people think it's a Rainbow *original* because Graham Cracker Bonnett performed it with Alcatrazz. it's produced/mixed better.
