Did anyone else happen to notice that the article indicated she had been living in a MOBILE HOME? Wow. She must have spent all of her $$$ on drugs or something. What a shame.

On another note, my fav M.C. movie was Insatiable.

I have absolutely no business insinuating myself into this thread, however, let me say just this one thing: It's very likely that Ms. Chambers never really made a lot of money at this gig. Her MOVIES may have made a lot of money for other people. As an actor, she probably didn't really get paid that much and she probably wasn't getting anything on the back end {if ya no wht I mene}. Certainly not enough to retire and live comfortably.

That was supposed to be the movie to get her out of the "adult industry". Obviously it wasn;t good enough to do that!

You rarely hear of the ex-pornstars that regret their involvement and if you do, you don't really see them doing anything to dissuade the younger generation from following in their paths.

Jenna in her book wrote she'd chain her daughter to the bed before letting her getting into the industry.

The girl in this clip was hardened way before getting involved in the industry. As soon as she turned 18 she headed to L.A. to be a pornstar.

Cronenberg was too "weird" for mainstream horror cinema, but considering the '70s was the era of experimentation, it's odd that Rabid wasn't more successful. It's creepy as fuck, and Marilyn turns in a pretty good performance. She also never looked better than in this movie.

Sasha Grey on Tyra Banks

Sasha was interviewed in Los Angeles Magazine not too long ago. Believe it or not, her sights were set on a porn career long before she was "barely legal." She lived in NorCal and worked for a year as a waitress. She saved up $7000, moved by herself down to L.A., got a place and got her first "gig." Sasha's a trip, to say the least. One thing she'll never be called is a hypocrite.

You're right, definitely not hypocritical whereas Tyra is a hypocrite. Tyra wasn't in porn but for years did sell her body as an arousal tool so shouldn't be criticizing Sasha as if she's Mother Teresa.

I agree Sasha's a trip too. Even though she's determined this for herself, imo there's underlying trauma or substance addiction. In the Tyra interview she comes off cold and lifeless.

Why is skin so nasty?

Why do we think that our privates should be projected onto others?
Just because we don't have the balls to show our own balls, we think that when others' do, it's bad.
I mean, most of us are ashamed to walk to the mailbox in our housecoats. And none of us would dare drop trow for any reason, but we certainly quickly condemn those that choose a form of entertainment that none of us have the audacity to perform. And don't tell me for one minute that it's a morality issue. Bull-F'ing $hit. We hide behind our keyboards and say naughty things, and we sit with our TVs and watch whatever we want. But damn those that make the flicks, huh? We can watch Pacino & Deniro pull triggers all day long, but we don't dare acknowlegde sexuality.

Why are we all such bedroom hypocrites? Guy talk is that we'd <do the whatever> out of some celebrity, but in reality, we can't even keep it up enough to satisfy our wives and girlfriends.

Point is, some people love sex so much that they are willing to share their lives, real or acting, with us. And yet we condemn that. We condemn that even in the light of our own hypocrisy.

We're worse. We're all a bunch of f'ing liars...
We want it, and we'd love to do it. We just can't because we're not able...for whatever reason...

Indeed, she's like a pod person. For Sasha everything is clinical, methodical. It IS too bad that such a babe has to stoop to licking toilet seats and lapping jizz up off dirty linoleum tiles because she feels she has to push the envelope. Nasty. Good thing she's very vocal about her other non-porn ambitions. She won't last forever at that clip. And that dude Ian...he's nuts for having her (past tense, I'm sure) as a girlfriend. Maybe she's a GIRL and his FRIEND, but no way is she really his "girlfriend." Not with that day job. He's a fool.

SteveW2,

I didn't mean to offend you with my comment about the mobile home. You're right, you have nothing to be ashamed of if that is the type of home you reside in. What I meant by my statement was that she seemed to have fallen on hard times in her later yrs and I had expected that she lived in a big mansion due to her former success in the industry. It was not my intention to insult you or her. There is nothing wrong with living in any abode be it a mansion, mobile home or cardboard box. Sorry to ruffle your sensitive feathers. Take a deep breath now.
