I wish. It probably will be the Red Wings. If there is a surprise team look out for St. Louis. The Hawks should make it to the second round (I hope).

Chicago Blackhawks vs Montreal Canadiens

My dream Cup Finals. Original-6 match up for the first time since the Monreal-NY Rangers Final in 1978-79.

2 of the brightest young forwards in the NHL against the brightest young goalie in the world.

I will be looking forward to this come May/June. Remember...The Habs have won a Cup in EVERY decade since the inception of the NHL and this is their final chance to continue this amazing record. I say that fate will be on their side!

Stanley Cup Finals prediction:

You're 2008-09 Cup Champions and 25-time Cup winners:

LES CANADIENS DE MONTREAL

I hope you're right too, but I don't see it. Remember the Hawks have Queenville as a coach, his teams are notorious for falling out early.

Funny, I was just going to ask the same thing about the one person who picked the Canucks

This wouldn't surprise me. It probably won't happen this year, but in time we could see it.
There was a press conference about a month ago where management verbally committed to having a French Canadian coach for next season and promised to bring in a high impact French Canadian player during the offseason.

Time for 1st round 8)

All the teams that were supposed to win their 1st games , did win .

Tonights game should also finish as predicted by many.... both Wings and Hawks will win , as will Canadiens & Sharks...

I hope the Flyers bring just a TAD bit more than what they brought against my Pens last night, because they got embarrassed and looked AWFUL. If the Pens play like they did last night (and I can't expect them to) then they will sweep the playoffs, as they did last year. Good start to the playoffs, but a loooooooooooooooooooong way to go.

Joe Kocur and Jim Kyte. When I watched this live I though Kocur killed him when his punch bounced his head off the ice.

That was pretty awesome. I never liked McSorley that much (because he was usually beating up the guys I was rooting for), but man he was a monster on the ice!
