The Future of Madsplash

Postby madsplash » Fri Apr 17, 2009 9:05 am

It's been brought to my attention that 90-95% of the posters here are tired of my posts and would prefer it if I no longer posted here.
I want to get an idea if this number is accurate.

If it is, I will listen and go on record as saying that I won't post here anymore until Steve Perry releases new material. As far as many people here believe, that should be pretty much forever.

So the question is simple. 3 choices. Get out, stay, or you don't care.

I don't see the harm...nothing wrong with causing a bit of a stir every now and then. If you really believe that a new album is in the works, then that's great!

Keep posting dude. It's all part of a broader conspiracy. They'll have all us Perry fans fight amongst ourselves, then once attrition sets in they'll swoop in and try one final attack to annihilate us.

Thanks. I'm sure about the album, it's not that. It's the fact that I've been getting into arguments so often. It's always with a select group of 5-10 people, but I just want to make sure that I'm not bringing down more people. I have many people that I speak with here via PM, and get along great with.

If I get to be too much of a downer, for too many people, I'd rather just go away and maybe lurk here and read and not post. This is still the best Journey forum on the web.

Either way, I just want to know the general vibe. If it's as bad as someone has said, I don't want to hang around.

I like spirited debate and some arguing, but it's getting to the point that anytime I post, the same 5-10 people scramble in and either attack me try to bait me into attacking them.

If it's all me, I see no purpose in staying here. I've brought info that I was told from people that I trust. Some haven't like the way I said it and I get that, but to argue over the silly shit that I have been recently is just stupid.

I voted for you to stay, Splashy.

Madsplash, your confidence in Perry's return is simply historically inaccurate (which you must accept), but not necessarily wrong (which everyone else must accept). That's where I stand on your Perry stance. I hope you're right and that he's as good as you claim he'll be, but only time will tell. And I think that's the best outlook anyone should have. On the other hand, you need to understand that the skeptics have far more basis for their beliefs than you have for yours.

Whatever you do is your choice.

I heard Perry had the surgery done to fix some of the vocal "issues" he had been having...the source is VERY trustworthy...same source told me Perry was working in the studio...so...I have to say he is doing SOMETHING...however...will it ever see the light of day???

Given past disappointments, I won't hold my breath...

Stay...leave...dude...don't let other people make up your mind for you.

Reading this over, it hits me you always see yourself as a victim. I have seen you go into threads and bait regarding certain subjects. See, not so perfect, MS. You seem to have little insight into yourself, or you would have gotten by now what a few have given as advice about why you rub people the wrong way.

Carry on, MadSplashy. We are who we are, and you have just as much right to post as anyone else.

LOL, join the club. Sir Deacon and his gay lover Gideon told me my act was old and tired, so I limit my postings to the Obama thread. Fuck these suckholes Splash, come join me in my endless fight against those Goddamned republicans. I don't blame you for wanting to leave. Who wants to post where they aren't wanted?

You have to kiss Schon and Friga's ass and bow down and worship the greatest singer ever, Arnel Pineda to be accepted here. otherwise you are labeled a "bitcher."

No thanks.

If you enjoy posting here, you should stay and not let anyone else's issues drive you away.
Considering some of the nasty rants and feuds that have gone on between others, I hardly see
how anything you have posted could be considered worse or more of a downer.

Ah, Deano. He who swoops in and sets the record straight. I don't WANT to leave, but if it has gotten to 90-95%, then what's the point? I enjoy the hell out of this place, but I don't have the same gusto that your fighting spirit has.

I'm hoping the numbers turn out to be much less than the 90-95% number that has been tossed out there, and I'll be here, but if it's THAT bad, what's the point? I've got many PM friends here and I hope they vote, but if not and it gets to those numbers, I'll keep my word and bail, until SP's new release. When that happens, I'll return at least for a short time and re-evaluate things.

This place rocks, but if the percentage is where it's been claimed, I don't want to bring everyone down.
