Not the singing or the song so much as the words
Soul is a feeling, feeling deep within
Soul is not the colour of your skin
Soul is the essence, essence from within
It is where everything begins
Soul is what you’ve been through
What’s true for you
Where you going to
What you’re gonna do

Yep, lyrically right on the money!

I love a musician that has the ability to just let loose and abandon themselves to the music. To me it makes a good musician, great! If he's feelin' it, then the audience is feelin' it, well, me anyways.

Especially a singer, but also like bassists, etc. I could watch the likes of Marco Mendoza or Rudy Sarzo groovin' out in their bass world indefinitely. That's what makes Deen one of my favorite drummers too, fun to watch him get swept up in the music and be groovin' and bebopping away behind his kit having a grand ole time.

Not quite sure I'd say soul = abandon......but heck, works for me.
Love stuff like this.....ah, vocals and bass, my two favorite instruments!
