You made some very rude, uninformed pronouncements about Carla and Rip, when you didn't know what the situation was. You didn't apologise to Carla, you sent an apology via a third person in a PM, for a very public criticism. And by doing that, you certainly didn't give Carla any situation in which to apologise for anything she may have said (although as I recall, she didn't say anything that wasn't justified by your public behaviour.)

I don't think Carla has said anything that could be construed as holding a grudge; she has pointed out that you have made the same error you have been harping on about in this thread. I agree with what you have said about judging people by their looks being wrong, but it didn't need to be said half a dozen times, and in such a patronising way.

I sent you a pm once after B and SJ said you were posting like Blueskies....I wrote and said that I thought it was funny..thats it. After that is when I saw you were being accused of posting under two names. I didn't say you were...I have no idea if you were or not...but you were getting accused of it. As far as I know it was your house guest like you said. I also don't care about NatGat and any involvement or issues you have with them....thats not my concern. Just like my issue with Carla not being your concern,...right? See my point? Thats why I made a reference. If your gonna say, well..if it's on the board then you can butt in then save it. Another thing I will point out on this hypocrite charge...
I have never photoshopped a pic or ever posted a photoshopped picture to denegrate anyone for a laugh or any other reason. I have never done it once the whole time I've been a participant on this board. So for me to criticise someone else is not hypocritical. The whole discussion was about that...degrading someone...and the last points I was making was the difference between criticizing someone on their appearance or their actions. Carla came in and took a sentence out of context to what was said in entirety. It's very easy to ascribe something else to one or two sentences taken out of context and then use it for your own purpose. When its put back into context and read within the context of the discussion that it was in...then it doesn't apply and prove hypocracy at all since I do practice what I preach and don't photoshop or denegrade people on their appearance. Thats another thing people do on this board all the time...take something said out of context and affixe it to their argument.

Now to what else you just said...
I was also pointing out the fact that you have also had disagreements with people ....so I could say the same of you..that you could be partially responsible for them as well....and are...just like now here with me. It takes more then one to have a disagreement and any and ALL involved in one bare the responsibility for their participation. I've never said I am always right and I've never claimed to not share in responsibility of a disagreement...I have walked away and ignored numerous attempts some have made to lure me into one though. ...more times then you know.

Anyway... most of the things you addressed were not my main points of discussion but I can understand why you focused on them in your response.

Read what was being discussed again. The discussion was about tolerance of appearances...and I clearly defined between that and criticisms of actions. Rip did not try to make peace between us...he wrote an apology to me for things he said. I then wrote him back and asked him if he would translate my apologies to you...he didn't ask that of me I offered it on my own. Go ahead and ask him if he had to solicit it from me or not. As I just told Ari..due to the language barrier I wanted it to be clear. I also felt that I was due an apology in return for things you said...which you didn't offer. You did say some insulting things. In fact, the worst of what you said was you thought I had an "ugly soul"...well, excuse me... I found that to be a very insulting thing to say to someone.... and that wasn't the only thing you said either. Did you ever make any attempt to apologize for what you said...even back through Rip? NO, you did not. I not only made said an apology on the board publicly that same night, I also asked Rip to translate one for me. Thats far and away more then you did....what did I get in return? Only you making a couple comments about me on the board after the fact...and then bringing up the issue here again when it was not necessary and had nothing to do with the topic of discussion.

Youre the one that can't handle criticism. I gave my opinion to what you said initially and ya didn't like it. You didn't come in with any real defense...only posted more pics of the lady. Susan Boyle is headed for the history books.

The online video of Boyle's performance in the reality show "Britain's Got Talent" has set the record for the number of views in a week -- and shows no sign of stopping.

According to Visible Measures, which tracks videos from YouTube, MySpace and other video-sharing sites, Boyle's audition has generated 66.3 million views. On YouTube alone, it's been viewed more than 30 million times. The 7-minute video that was posted on YouTube last Saturday and then widely circulated online easily eclipsed more high-profile videos that have been around for months. Tina Fey's impersonation of Sarah Palin has clocked in 34.2 million views, said the folks at Visible Measures, while President Obama's victory speech on election night has generated 18.5 million views. In less than a week, Boyle topped them.

But it's not just online video where Boyle, the unassuming woman from a tiny Scottish town, has dominated. Over the weekend, her Facebook fan page was flooded with comments, at some points adding hundreds of new members within a minute. The page listed 150,000 members on 1 p.m. Friday. It grew to 850,000 by 6 a.m. Sunday. Her Wikipedia entry has attracted nearly half a million page views since it was created last Sunday.


Indeed, the Internet is her stage, and the 47-year-old who has said she's never heard of YouTube is the Web's hottest entertainer. "She's really the world's singer right now," said Julie Supan, a YouTube spokesperson who in her four years at the company cannot remember a video raking in this many views in such a period of time.

One view at a time, Boyle's audience is proving that the social Web -- where users aren't just mere viewers but also distributers -- makes the digital world feel smaller and more connected. And her global popularity is a testament that the marriage between old media (her performance first aired on Britisn television) and new media (it then made its way to YouTube, Twitter and Facebook) is broadening the reach of all media, from one channel to the next, one person at a time.

As a result, at any given moment, someone is passing along Boyle online.

Carla made a fair point - you have been criticising others for behaviour you yourself have shown on more than one occasion. I remember that episode, and I remember telling you in a PM that I thought some people were being unfair to you, but that you were being unfair to Carla too. You made some very rude, uninformed pronouncements about Carla and Rip, when you didn't know what the situation was. You didn't apologise to Carla, you sent an apology via a third person in a PM, for a very public criticism. And by doing that, you certainly didn't give Carla any situation in which to apologise for anything she may have said (although as I recall, she didn't say anything that wasn't justified by your public behaviour.)

I don't think Carla has said anything that could be construed as holding a grudge; she has pointed out that you have made the same error you have been harping on about in this thread. I agree with what you have said about judging people by their looks being wrong, but it didn't need to be said half a dozen times, and in such a patronising way.

I don't like how some people treat you, Phyllis, and I have said so, both publically and privately, to several people, and I think you have justifiable reasons to be annoyed with certain people on this board. After that is when I saw you were being accussed of posting under two names. I didn't say you were...I have no idea if you were or not...but you were getting accussed of it. As far as I know it was your houseguest like you said. I also don't care about NatGat and any involvement or issues you have with them....thats not my concern.
