OT: Styx and REO Speedwagon - Can't Stop Rockin'

Don't know if you heard the new single by these two bands yet, but here's a YouTube link to a video. Not bad for what it is - a single designed to promote a tour.

I'd see them again. I'm good for some REO and Styx once every two or three years.

Was going to check them out in Boca Raton. I was excited about the "fan friendly" prices they talked about in all the articles and promos I read. Then the prices came out all shows were good except the Boca show $ 55 or $75 thats not to fan friendly to me !!!!!!

Seems to me REO already has a song where they repet "can't stop" over and over. I just can't place it or find it right now but maybe I'm thinking of this one which I like much better than the new REO/Styx.

REO just doesn't have hooks anymore.

anyway, here ya go

I've certainly heard better from both bands. I've no issue with them putting something together to launch and promote a tour, but given that this set of bands has been touring together off and on for several years now...I don't see that as adding much to either.

But hey, they aren't asking me now are they?

I was prepared to hate it, thinking it was a contrived pile of shite, but you know, it was pretty decent. I'd give it a "B". Considering I was expecing an "F-", that's not to shabby.
It's not a lie, if you believe it..........

I'm a long time fan of both and was somewhat disappointed. Sounds like a left over song from REO's Find your Way Back Home CD...or worse a combination of a couple songs off the CD. Nothing new.

Maybe our expectations are too high . sounds good to me ,crunchy guitars , catchy chorus, not bad for a 58 yr old (cronin). At least he's out there trying, and i think Shaw and Cronin sound good together on this song.

Not bad IMO...since REO and Montrose was the first concert I ever went to, REO holds fond memories. 8)
