If I understand correctly:

1. Making jokes about the band members is now off limits (disrepectful).
2. Making jokes about other posters whether in fun or not is off limits (disrespectful).
3. Sexy girl pics are off limits 'cause it offends some of the women here.
4. F-bombs and other "bad words" however are ok 'cause Andrew uses them.

Maybe Andrew needs to clarify then? I didn't read Andrew's requests to be as extreme as what you're laying out. I didn't see anything (unless I missed it?) about banning sexy girl pics. When *I* cringed at it the other day it was because sheesh, can we just have one thread for it? Every two weeks there's a porn thread. Who said the women were offended, though? As long as we ladies, in turn, get to post sexy men pics too, then what's so offensive? And if some ladies are offended, stay out of the designated tits and ass threads. Simple.

Right. For example, I can tell Deb, in a light hearted friendly way how much Calgary sucks and are going to get their asses swiftly WHOOPED tonight by Chicago. But I can't tell Deb that she's a sucky ass Canadian for supporting that pack of a-holes.

This is just an example, btw. I do NOT think Deb is a sucky ass Canadian. She is, in fact, a rather friendly and fun Canadian. But I DO think the Flames are gonna get trounced tonight. And Iginla is ugly. He's not a member here so I can say that.

yes with the RICH history of the songs the LPs and the legendary concerts... that said, the personal moves... thats another situation all together.
THE releasing of Augeri the way they did... letting go SOTO the way they did... and that is after the Perry situation from 12 years ago now. hard to control fans opinion in this regard, especially when its a forum created for us the fans..to express what we are feeling at the moment.

Yeah, but, I think what Andrew's point was, was that nearly every band has these situations within them in some form or another, and the fans have strong feelings about it, and it's ok to discuss it, but can we do so without going on for 20 posts in every thread about Neal's 22 wives and Cain's ficticious homosexuality, AND without attacking each other in a harmful way.

I get the point... iam just asking the question...and you know before every tom dick and harry, had the internet; this place had all kinds of disagreements, but it seemed like it was more polite??? The manners were better... if that makes sense... now the type of thread being posted is just on a whim... like in the posters own mind its funny or thought provoking... and language is thrown around like its not that big of deal to use, just the sign of the times I guess. ... maybe the issue here is laziness with us...where we dont think before we talk.

While I do like your idea (and it does make a certain amount of sense), I'm a creature of habit and you are suggesting a change that would interfere with my daily routine, and may possibly jinx me.
