Either that or my weekend is interfering with the games.

It might be the latter.

Don't jinx the formula! I will blame you! :P

Sorry. :( Not my fault. Take it up with the one who's breaking my routine.

LOL, you just have that standard paragraph ready to whip out, don't you? Whether it be singers, hockey players, or whatever. Pretty much used the exact same one on me in regards to singers.

Are you suggesting that SJ has a template where he has to type in the "bad guy" and "good guys" and then pushes "create next post" before he copy/paste it here? :)

Nah. To be honest, while I'm certainly glad Chicago won that series, game 3 and 4 did worry me. Your boys came off of two losses and went "Oh yeah? Watch this...". HELL of a fight with these two teams, and a really exciting series! And it was hard to root against Langkow because I was a fan of his with Phoenix. But f Bertuzzi.  That bastard robbed 'Bulin of a shutout.

LOL, hey Deb, I was just thinking- you could always throw on MR Big's Greatest Hit, you know the cd where they play To Be With You over and over 10 straight times, and head down to watch the Hitmen. They are in the WHL Finals against Kelowna.

http://www.hitmenhockey.com/hitmen_new/index.asp

Opening Night is Friday at Pengrowth. Hitmen are 12-0.

Mr Big's Greatest Hit......har har har! Laugh all you want my friend, but that song charted in 20 plus countries, many of them at number one. Something Journey is "still" striving to do. :P They are soooo much more than that one song. :)

Only sports I'm into is my Flames, not much into the Hitmen........so my hockey watching is pretty much done for now......except my nephew's games. As much as I hate to say it, at this point I hope the Canucks win, that damn cup needs to come back to Western Canada! Oh and Keenan needs to go.

Hey, don't throw Journey at me. Not my band honey. They have never charted number one anywhere, so fuck them already. By the way, I posted this as a favor to St John. He told me to "take care of that loudmouth Deb today," while I'm at work.

I personally know crap about NHL teams, but CHI has a lot of heart, and that can trump all on occasion.

Every team in the playoffs, especially the second round, has heart. Unlike the NBA, these guys are playing for the Cup not money. Chicago is a solid young team, but are a couple years away. Vancouver is stronger, bigger and more experienced. I think CHI might steal one or maybe 2, but 4-2 VAN is my call. Luongo is that good.

My boys had loads of heart, but ya can't play with no defense. :( Waaaaay too many injuries. Too many playing through pain too, both Conroy's shoulders were wrapped after the game. :( Hockey's a sport like no other, only sport that's ever hooked me. :)

Maybe in 4 or 5 years. You were hurt, and any knowledgeable hockey fan knows that. However, you lose some restricted FA's and you need a coach.

From the www.thefourthperiod.com

With their season now in the bag, the Flames must shift their focus on trying to re-sign some of their impending unrestricted free agents, reports the Calgary Sun.

Michael Cammalleri, Todd Bertuzzi and Adrian Aucoin are set to come UFAs July 1, and despite reports suggesting they may all leave, they've all expressed their desire to stay.

Luongo is great. But Hobby is too, and he was on friggin' fire the last two games.
I'm praying for more of that and a whole lot less of what went on in games 3 and 4.

Screw the NBA. I'm new to hockey fandom, but part of what draws me in is that true love of the game and the intensity of these guys. ...And the fights.
Thanks for the prediction Dean, I was going to ask what you thought... is Vancouver your team or am I crossing lines somewhere?

Hobby used to be a real good goalie. He would be a backup to a lot of teams nowadays. Calgary had no offense whatsoever. They looked like a bunch of Canadian Stevie Wonders bumping around out there wearing red sweaters. They shot the puck right into Khabibulan's bread basket.

Hey bro, glad you chimed in! I have the exact opposite that you predicted. The two sure as fuck bets are VAN over CHI and Caps over Pens. The other two (Canes and Ducks) wouldn't surprise me in the least. Fuck, my beard looks like a fuckin birds nest. If the Nucks beat up on Chitown, I will look like Nick Nolte in Down and Out in Beverly Hills.

I said since the beginning that I would of hated to play Washington in ANY round, and hoped they would be dropped in round one. That isn't the case, and they are a team that scared me all along. The Pens have had the Caps number this year, but a 7 game series with these guys is going to be a brutal stretch, and whoever wins we'll see if they can carry it over in the Conference Finals. I wouldn't be surprised if the Caps took it in 7, but judging by rest, and simply because the Pens play teams better that match their strengths, I'm going Pens in 6.
