Always nice to see a guy enjoying time at the game and at least in this picture he's not sitting in his seat so nobody has to try and figure out where he is sitting!

I hate to say I feel sorry for Perry, but I do. He is an artist and artists never die, they NEVER die. Well, of course they die I mean, Las Vegas staple and multi-entertainer of the year Danny Gans, just passed away and he was only 52 years old and very talented! He left the kind of legacy I wish Perry would leave. I hate the thought that when Perry passes (God forbid) he will leave behind old music, videos, a bitter breakup and being the old singer who hangs out at baseball games. But, if that’s what it is then so be it.

The photos show Perry with a tight, stiff expression when approached by the female fan, sad, really. He appears uncomfortable and not at all relaxed and subtle unlike many artists I have seen in photos. Even if they hate being approached they are not as stiff as Perry. I am an analytical psych major, sorry. I think Perry bowed out of the industry not because of throat issues, or hip issues, but because of fear and ego, a human's worst two enemies. Whatever the case, I say, “let poor Perry be.” We all can continue with the forums and fans site and MBPL, but whatever Perry chooses in his life he did something positive for me....he brought me to you fine people!! Yea, good point about the young woman. Perry could very well be an ageist. And, yes, I do sound like a nay sayer here, but I TRULY am a fan of Perry's. I admired Perry when I was younger and I was hurt when he walked away. Didn't care why, none of my business. To be honest, I very much believed Perry would grow old like Tom Jones, you know, I thought he would sing forever. Matter of fact, I waited for Perry to return to music and bust out singing in the styles he was originally influenced by, R&B type stuff. Could you see him with Mary J. Blige or Joss Stone or I don't know, Bonnie Rait or someone? Anyone know Mike McDonald? I love that man, kind of monotone, but he sings with anyone and he sings what he enjoys. No comparison, I'm just sensitive and took it bad when Perry left, that's all.

Again, whatever he wants to do, sing, chill at baseball games, tap dance naked on a roof somewhere in lower sluburvia, "go on and rock your thang, man! You and the other Journey members have more than earned my respect."
I still want Perry to sing and I will pick on him forever until he does Oops, did that slip out?!

The interesting thing is, this woman may very well be the same age as Perry give or take a few years (and a little Ms. Clairol). He may very well be seeing himself reflected in this woman's personage, and thinking ..."Egad!". Whatever the case, he doesn't appear to be terribly interested in this woman's conversation. :? Which is kind of unfortunate when you consider this is Perry's fan base. Until or unless he releases some new music and generates new interest, that's it.

I suppose we could all apply a great many different adages to the pictures; bemoan the fact that he like all of us are getting older; put our judgements on him and find him utterly saddened that he no longer is singing, laughing or having a good time with the Journeymen. Or, we could believe that for a moment he was reflective and listening to the woman ask him a question or two and he listened and didn't flinch or hush her or wave his hand at her trying to get her to move away. No, he paused and let them take a picture of him and the camera snapped away; appeared politely disinterested but he never recoiled. It's just a snap shot in time of the man not a pictorial, not a documentary; not subject to endless essays of his health and well being. Just a picture. His way of letting the fans know; yes, he's still here and please God don't make this into something it's not meant to be.

Excellent mastery of the quote function, Nora. Excellent! I haven't figured that function out just yet.

All you need to do is the following:

1. Isolate the person's quote that you're responding to.
2. For the first quote - it will state the person's name - when you end the quote where you want to, just type in the following:
[/quote]
3. Then, for any OTHER part of their Quote you want to "answer" to, just highlight what they wrote & hit the "Quote" square at the top of the Message window.
4. Review it - it should look like a back-and-forth "conversation".

Hope this helps....Happy Saturday! Cheers! \~/

Either he'll sound good or bad so its a PR answer.

Although he seems detached, the fact the lady is leaning on wall in 2nd pic shows it was a decent little talk so not like he's trying to ... escape.

He may not be looking at her 'cause he sees the camera behind her taking these pics.

I don't think anyone really knows how long this conversation was going on between the lady and Perry.
She might have been talking to him for 30 minutes while he leaned up against the wall talking with her while trying to watch the game at the same time.
Maybe the photographer did a poor job of capturing pictures of all the other moments where Perry was smiling and looking at her. Maybe these pictures
came from someone with a cell phone that snapped a couple pictures of these two talking but was embarassed to take more pictures for fear it would look
like they were intruding on the conversation. Who knows? I think he looks like he is listening to her. I think he likes when fans come up to him and
recognize him. She doesn't appear to be doing anything to him that is inappropriate for a public place with a star like Perry. He doesn't seem to be
stressed out or moving away from her. He's casually leaning up against the wall, relaxed, watching the game and giving her the time to ask her questions.
Thanks for posting the pics. I like to see him enjoying his life, and feeling safe and secure to come out to the ball game alone. He obviously isn't feeling
like he is in danger of loons stalking him. I just hope that someday, I'm the lucky lady standing as close to him as she is, and that he is smiling from ear to ear
when he's talking to me.......
