OT: Do You Like Guitar And Keys?

Postby Blueskies » Sun May 03, 2009 12:03 pm

I figured it's about time I did a little family promo. :)
First the Guitar:

My cousin David is a classical guitarist and is working on a new CD so to get some promo started for his next work I'll share a couple songs from a previous CD he recorded in 03'.....

Vals Venezolano

Winter ( an original composition of his )

( Edit* replaced the links with the ones that work )

Here's the link to the CD these songs are on....
http://www.amazon.com/Sketches-Dave-Rob ... 108&sr=1-1

In case you don't scroll down on the page here is his bio....

About the Artist:
Dave Robinson is a classical guitarist who plays everything from classical to Beatles. He has performed with Stevie Nicks, The Four Tops, Sam Moore, Joni Sledge, The Phoenix Symphony, and many others. His CD, Sketches, is relaxing solo classical guitar and features songs from Phantom of the Opera, Spanish classical, James Taylor, as well as two original pieces.

---------------------------------------------------------
Now the Keys +:

And my cousin Diana Robinson is also a musician...she's done several but, here's a link to one of her CD's that is all original instrumentals that she wrote, performed and produced. There are sound samples on the page....

Take a listen to both if you will, and let me know what you think of their music! :)

Why so testy??? No need to get so sassy about it! The songs are saved in m4a or something like that, and I can't open it on my computer. The link to the cd has no samples, so I haven't heard a single note the guy played. The other cousin....eh...I listened to some of her stuff, and it's just not my cup of tea. I think she has a few timing issues as well on a couple of the songs. I'm not knocking her though...she actually finished a cd! :D Something I'm TRYING to do right now. Thanks for sharing them though.

 Might not be your cup a tea, but she actually recorded 5 cd's in 07' alone. :P  Most of the others are jazz with vocals so their probably not your cup either. You should be able to open Dave's tunes if you download them into your iTunes but I'll see if I can try it another way. 8)

Now THAT guy's got some talent!!! Very cool stuff. I would like to hear him in a band setting with some non-instrumental stuff though! I'd love to jam with the guy. Tell him if he ever wants to collaberate...I'd love to work with him!
