No sir, I've not forgotten. I ran into a bit of computer mayhem as I was trying to use the copying program, and I'd also unknowingly run out of DVDs. I plan to attack that project later this evening.

reeeeerrrrrr.

It's like when some women have to comment about other women who wear too much makeup. Why is it that the women who say that are usually the ones who wear almost none, and could sure as hell use the help.

I suppose its the same reason guys get their BVD's in a twist whenever women go ga-ga over some dude, then proceed to throw down the "he probably gay" card. I suppose there is some sort of anthropological/evolutionary/competitive/survival purpose for this, but I swear I don't know what it is. :?

Good point. I don't do that, so I can't tell you why. I'm comfortable enough in my masculinity to admit when a dude is good looking. I have no problem doing that.

Dudes don't look good. I don't know how women want anything to do with us. Ugly ass ballsacks and shit like that. No wonder there are so many lesbian couples in the world.

So then, how do you explain all the gay men in the world? Do they just have a thing for ugly ballsacks?

Good post! It is sad that some very talented people don't get a chance many times due to image. Singing ability should be the major factor not image. I don't buy someone's music based on what they look like.

Wrong. It is a FACT (and we know how much you love it when things are "A FACT") that women AND men on magazine covers ARE heavily retouched. I worked in graphics and design for 6 years, and I work for a magazine for another two years, and I know what I'm talking about. Magazines are not about to put anyone on their covers with dark circles under their eyes or birth marks showing, stretch marks showing, or extra thigh fat showing. Come on.

You think that picture of Britney pregnant with the big ta tas hasn't been seriously altered? As if they're going to put her on the cover with stretch marks all over her breasts and stomach? Just because someone says that does not mean they need any kind of help.

The same thing holds true with models, about the retouching and the covering up of everything either makeup and computers, but I do not say that about them, because it's their JOB. Britney's "job" is supposed to be a signer, and she can't even do THAT. She gets up on the stage in a skimpy top and has to pretend to do it because in reality, she can't and has nothing else going for her.

I've heard plenty of guys say the same about her. But just because I say it and I'm female you have to make judgements about why I'm saying it? Just shows what an ass you truly are. Either that or you just dislike women.

Now wait. I'm jusk asking why everytime there's a picture of an average looking, or kinda ugly woman, I don't hear that said?
Wether or not you like her music(and I don't), she's a calculated business woman that is filthy rich. Is she a good singer? No. Is Bob Dylan a good singer? No. It's business.

I'm sure guys say that, although I don't know any guy that doesn't think she was/is hot, most don't care about her music.
I didn't mean to "judge" you at all. I was just questioning why that always seem to get brought up. And let's not get back into any name calling. That's immature and beneath you.

And trust me............I like women. Been liking them for all of my 40 years.

Yep. She's a no talent BLECH.
She's famous for that stupid schoolgirl outfit and her blonde hair/big tits. Nothing more.

That's enough. There are enough great singers out there. Some things are best just looked at and not heard.

You're post was a little catty sounding, BJG.

And your post has grammatical errors, big tough smart guy.

There is nothing catty about what I said.
I say the same about males who have no talent and are famous for stupid shit like that too.

Easy there sister, you're missing commas between those words. Punctuation is as important as grammar.

reerrrrrr. meow.

All this pent up sexual frustration between you two. Just boink each other and get it over with already.

Not even if the world were flooded with piss and he was up in the only tree.

Right back at ya! I wouldn't invite you into my tree anyway. :D

You might want to rethink that. If she's as good with that mouth physically as she is here verbally, she'd probably be pretty damn good!!

She had that very instant been handed a baton by one of her "cop" dancers but was so stunned by the intruder she couldn't even think to do anything with it.

That was close one for her. A more dangerous guy and she could be a goner. Actually we don't even know his intentions so she got lucky escaping with just a scare.

If she had hit him with the baton, she would have probably gotten sued. So many people are trying to ride the gravy train off of her.
I really don't care if she can sing or not. There is an audience out there for her kind of entertainment and they obviously enjoy it, so more power to her.

She needed to have some talent initially or she wouldn't have come this far.

Exactly. Unless you want to hear a lot of huffing and puffing, and heavy breathing into the mic, it's inescapable. No matter how youthful and fit a performer is, there is just no way anyone can maneuver through all the complicated dance moves performed in these shows nowadays, run around for elaborate costume changes AND flawlessly sing a song, too. Can't be done.

It's a big deal in a sense because it's a ripoff if people are paying to hear a singer perform live. Well, she's supposedly a singer..so a singer should be able to sing....she can't sing worth a darn..not even slow songs with no dancing. Spears singing ability is a product of studio magic. A Spears show is nothing more than a burlesque show....and if that's all anyone expects or cares about seeing and they don't care if shes faking it or not... fine, they can pay to be entertained in that way if they want but it certainly isn't a "concert" music wise.
She is simply a burlesque entertainer who can't accurately be defined as a talented musician...or real singer, imo.

Wrong for Journey to do but all right for a hot chick....double standard isn't it? She doesn't seem to have a real high IQ given some of the things she's done and said, I agree... but she apparently knows the meaning of burlesque. I agree she's been working it and getting paid but she still hasn't proven herself as a singer live at all. The amount of money made isn't the barometer for proving talent and there are many things that factor into success ...also how you define what success means to each individual. She got the chance at the top due to image more than for any other reason..then that image was manufactured further.

It is a shame that music has become so visually based because there are many really talented people who don't get a shot at the top. Back in the days of radio it didn't matter what someone looked like so they had to bring the talent. Music used to be sound based ( like it should be ) not image based. I would rather hear a great talent, (even if they are not considered all that " attractive" by the cultures current "standards" ) rather than just view someone moving their mouth without any live sound coming out. Musicians should be able to perform live....she's not been performing music....she does a burlesque dance act.

Hahahaaaaaa....First Milli Vanilli "busted", now this....

YAY CONNECTICUT!!

Everyone knows she lipsyncs, I don't see what the deal is. Any act that does all the dance moves and such always uses playback.
Journey did the same thing,Lipping}at least she is hot, all that airbrush talk is bullshit, she squrited out the kid,she worked and looks good as shit. She doesn't even even know what the fuck burlesque means. She is makin it,most artist in her category are doing the same thing, she is just doing it better

Music used to be sound based not image based.

I don't care if she lips, she looks good shakin' what God gave her and swingin' a baton. :)

These guys, Chas and Dave are definitely not lookers but I think they have talent. I think Britney would be the bomb on a cover of this. She'd be great on stage doing a dance to it in a playboy outfit with a little bunny tail. The skimpier the better.
