He's not dissing Lou, he's dissing Andrew and his reviews.

Lou can't compare to Bruce today but in the 70s, 80s and 90s, I put Lou voice above even Perry. Not on high notes but listenability.

Oh, I know! I'm just messing with Dean. But you're right...up until the mid 90's, Gramm was every bit as good as Perry! I think I actually liked more of Lou's solo stuff than Perry's. :D

Gramm's solo music is WAY better than Perry's. No question about that.

That's a good idea! How about some Shadow King songs?

Here's "Don't Even Know I'm Alive"

"Once Upon A Time"

Some classic Foreigner!

"Break It Up"

My favorite live song they ever filmed..."That Was Yesterday". This is the definitive version of this song!!!

Awesome link man! Everyone should check out the songs here...you can listen to the entire album! Go listen to the opening choir on "So Great"! You really have to listen to the whole album to get the whole feel though. Those samples aren't as high a quality as the actual tracks either.

My take on the lyrical content.

It being "Christian" influenced shouldn't be a deterrent if you like Lou. I don't subscribe to all the hedonism AC/DC promotes but still enjoy their music so its just the reverse here.

G.I.'s right. Lou is sounding great here. If his voice is anywhere this strong live, I wouldn't rule out a Foreigner reunion if Gramm and Jones could see eye to eye again.

One more thing. While everyone's been sitting on their hands for the supposed Perry comeback album, here comes Gramm out the gate.

Great job Lou. Rattle your bones! :D

Lou is a great christian guy with an awesome heart. I remember hearing in the 90s about his brain tumor and everything he had to go through, he was so positive about it all and it gave him a new outlook on life and made him so appreciative of life.

I will definetly check out his new album!

The master is back! see this is the real deal. Get rid of the current poser singing in Foreigner. Get Lou Gramm back, singing the songs the way they should be done.

I'd love to see him in there again but doubt Mick and Lou will do it. Especially as strong as this new cd sounds. If he can pull it off live, he'll be busy touring it.

#9, Rattle Your Bones, what a great cut. Very Shadow King style. Agree with #5 (Baptism of Fire) and #1 all standout tracks.

G.I.Jim wrote:Did I mention that there are elements of Gospel in there also? I'm just sitting here amazed at everything going on with this album! It needs to be listened to a couple of times to catch everything, as there are a lot of subtle riffs and phrases layered in there in the background. "That's The Way God Planned It" has some fat B-3 organ and guitars trading off riffs towards the end, and even Rolie would have been impressed with it! :D

I really can't wait to read Andrew's review of this, as I think I've just found my new favorite album of the year. I just wonder if it's just me here? It's so good to have him back sounding like this! It's amazing that he's been through everything he has that he puts out an album sounding like this, yet Perry's just sitting out there.... :( Perry needs to get his ass in gear!
